Full Wave Modulation

I made a simple pulse width modulation with OSC1, but had trouble getting a full sweep. It was uneven, and got stuck on one side too long using a start wave of 8 and a mod of 8.

I found that I needed to set the wave modulation to 7.5 with a starting wave of 8.5 to get what I wanted (using a lfo sine to moduate).

Am I missing something? Is this the "right" way to do this? Just seemed awkward to set up, esp since the modulation won't go to 7.5 without the use of the shift key.

Best regards,

Gino

Well... the maximum modulation depth of 16 is a bug, sort of. Starting from wave 1, you can only go up 15 waves till you reach 16 (it's one of those little things that I'm most embarrassed about, luckily no-one ever noticed before)

So yes, a bipolar modulation over the full range of waveform slots starts at slot 8.5 and goes +/- 7.5 waveslots.

Cheers,

;) Urs

Thanks Urs. You got millions of things right, so setting 8.5 +/- 7.5 is a very small price to pay :)

Well, but you don't count. I might have told you in a drunk moment while we were listening to Stevie Wonder or so.
