From simple Heavy Metal to Death Metal. :)

The tremolo picking in the second half of that clip sounds a bit robotic.

Though I will agree that this is a very nice amp SIM :)

Yes, a little. I'm still learning EEG Strawberry and Shred (hell, everything).

I'm working on making the super fast picking sound better.

MOR has some heavy guitars some sampled distorted such as les paul deluxe.
The deluxe was sampled with a marshall and a bogner. You can mix them or choose either one.The bogner is real dark and heavy. The ibinez 7 string is recorded through a crank amp. It sounds thinner than the lp.but the articulations are very agressive, great attitude!the 7 string also has a clean channel.I'm struggling to get good souns with amp sims , so the sampled distortiom is a plus.
I also have and like shreddage, electri6ity , and prominy sc.These libraries
are more detailed Than MOR.But MOR is more redy to go out of the box. plus
You get some good basses and drums.

Damn, Shred can sound so much better than this :( I don't particularly like the distortion here...

Not the cheapest ones admittedly, but how about RealStrat or RealLPC combined with Amplitube?

I used electri6ity on these two remixes:

As a guitarist for many years electri6ity is the only one that has impressed me. Its the most realistic of them all. If I wasn't a guitarist or couldn't play anymore I would buy it.

EEG Strawberry for the win.

reFX Slayer if you just want a VSTi that makes Great Rock/Metal Guitar sounds. It's Synthetic but you will Never be able to tell in a mix anyway. That's if you know how to program decent riffs. 8)

Rick,
Did you use guitar rig again? If so what components did you use?
Zircon,
What was the amp on the Meshuggah tune?

Are all the guitars in them tracks produced with VSTs ?

Impressive stuff either way 8)
If every rule has an exception, then there must be an exception to the rule that every rule has an exception.

Here are two examples of Electri6ity (playing trough freeware amps!) playing metal. Done by Javi Perera:
