Removing Kontakt folders from Samples folder

The receptor made two folders in my sample folder that it won't allow me to delete("__edited__" & "__NI_SMPL_ADD__". Any ideas on how I can remove these and clean up the folder. I have since saved the kontakt files as monoliths. Thanks.

You can actually delete those from within Kontakt. Just open up Kontakt to 'edit' view on your receptor. Then use the little file browser on the left hand side of the screen to go to your samples directory. Right clicking on the folder you want to delete and then selecting 'delete' should get rid of it.

I tried what you described above and I get an error that says:
"You can only delete NI-Kontakt family files and samples"
Do you have any other suggestions?

So, the second way you can try it is very similar to the other one. Just hit the 'load file' button in Kontakt. A browser should appear and you can try deleting files in there by right clicking on the ones you want to delete. In the future I recommend saving Kontakt files in 'samples' or 'my documents' where 100% access is enabled.

I have a similar problem although it is within the Sample directory. I need to remove whole sample sets that belong to plugins that are no longer on the system but when I try to delete the directory (or individual samples) I get the "no permission" error. What is the trick?
