Could someone tell me what issues are with Vista? I use Sonar LE 8.5 for my host and Vista with H.G. Fortune Synths and I have very little issues. I do have some but not what people here are talking about. Maybe it's the way I set up Vista that I don't have many issues. Also what issues are with Windows 7, because I would like to compare the two? I am thinking of upgrading to Win 7.

Thanks for any :help:

With me, it had nothing to do with my DAW, or synths, it's just
the operating system, I have used XP, Vista, and now currently Windows7
and Vista was just terrible. Why do you think there was such a short
period between XP and Windows7 ? Vista really isn't bad, just annoying.

Windows 7 IMHO is simply brilliant ! I have been running Win7
since March of this year and have not one complaint. It's smooth
running.

maybe this will help ;)

In fact issues aren't that many and if then in most cases due to combination of recent OS with 'older' hosts not being adapted to the new OS system's requirements.

As I said in another post:
Most probs as of 'stabilty' are due to the combination of OS and Host. E.g. recent Alphatron could not be convinced to run with Cubase 4 and Win 7 but does with FruityLoops or Cubase 5.5x and Win 7. The prob could be tracked down to the step seq in general but not to a dedicated cause. What's more the Step seq in it's very rudimentary form is also present in Avatar ST and that one does run with Cubase4 and Win 7. Anyway least probs of this kind are still with XP as OS or Win 7 with host ready for Win 7.
