LinuxSampler?

I was thinking about this but I can't see the benefit. Because you need to run engine and qsampler or jsampler (with java) to control the linuxsampler it can be tricky on receptor. From my point of view is better use samplelord.fewarren wrote:Has anyone been able to get the LinuxSampler plug-in to work on a Receptor? I'm hoping to get it running on my version 1C.

Hi folks,
I did not try Linuxsampler yet. I have bought Samplelord, but I am not satisfied with it. I tried to run the Scarbee Rhodes with it, regrettably without success...
I get a lot pops and clicks, especially when I use the pedal. An update was promised last year. The update would provide an improved compatibility with Gigastudio files (.gig). I would advise to wait for this.
BTW: smaller .gig samples run fine with Samplelord.

I have purchased G-Player. It installs easily on a 1C Receptor and runs fine. Super easy install as an unsupported plugin. Authorization is through simply providing the license number once in Edit for either plugin (16 channels or single channel version). Works fine. I tried out PMI Steinway and it plays well. Easy solution to using GigaStudio samples on the Receptor.

Thanks for the tip on G-sampler! I was looking for a long time for a VST plugin for the Receptor that can open & play large .gig libraries directly.
I tried to install the trial version yesterday, and indeed it seems to run the Scarbee Rhodes / Wurli libraries very well... (at a buffer size of 32 samples!)
Only thing is that I couldn't switch between the Rhodes & Wurli in a snapshot. This might be caused by the startup dialog of the trial version. Can you use multiple instances of the G-sampler solo plugin within a snapshot and switch between them?

Fedde,
I'm still working to get G-Player going on receptor. It looks like I am going to have to create the registry entries for the program by hand. It can't find its license number and I have to feed it to the program the first time it runs each time. However, I can load two instances of it and they seem to work fine. I have not tried setting it up with a snapshot, but my guess is that it will not work until I get the registry issues ironed out. I'll try to keep the forum posted on these experiments.
