Just wondering if anyone uses the above - I am looking for an easy way to control various parms - currently use the sliders on my VMK 176 - but was wondering if the remote zero would provide more feedback - I know receptor doesn't transmit return values - or anything for that matter - via the midi out - but was wondering if the usb port would allow the auto map to work.

I had a Peavy pc1600x but it just gave up the the ghost. sigh. I loved that thing.

Hi there,

I also have the vmk-176 and the remote sl-61. I haven't tried the novation controller yet but planning to do so soon.

I will let you know.

I have been using a Novation Remote SL 61 with Receptor for a couple years and am completely happy with the combination. The programmability of the controls is very flexible. I use both CCs and NRPNs as needed, and the programmable alpha display provides excellent visual feedback of control name and position. The keyboard has the best feel of any semi-weighted board that I have used. I merge in a second Fatar keyboard through USB. I have several completely different controller setups to go with different Receptor multis for different playing situations.

However, there is no feedback from the Receptor. The displays reflect only the positions of the Novation controls. I doubt that you can use the auto-map feature of the Novation, for this reason.
