Yes indeed! These are a lot of work I'm sure, but they are a lot of fun for the participants.

Awesome! I didn't even enter this time and possibly got more votes than usual. ;-)
(It looks like these are misattributed.)
Not my best month here

To add to the confusion, the patches attributed to Riffwalk are actually mine. It's my fault, though, as I forgot to mention my KVR name when submitting the patches. I wanted to set the record straight so someone else didn't claim the (dubious) honor of the only patch with zero votes!

Thanks to everyone who participated in this.
Thanks to xh3rv for putting things together.
Thanks to Urs for the free MFM prize I won with this zpc.

A few ideas for next contest:

1) Interesting use of OSC fx - use of OSC fx here should sound good of course, but also would ask people to do something a little twisty, perhaps not obvious

2) Interesting use of someone else's Zebra oscillator presets - like above, but emphasis on using some oscillator preset from the patch library.

3) ACE or Bazille, free-for-all for either, I do worry about Bazille's CPU usage; maybe asking for monophonic patches with that synth would be prudent

Thanks for the kind words about the running of the contest, they help :) Submissions are little bit down a bit from where I think they could be (10-15 seems better to me /shrug), so I might try to promote a little more for the next one - if anyone wants to do something along those lines, or has any suggestions, please feel free.

There are actually quite a few more downloaders than I would've suspected from the vote totals so I think the patches really are drawing interest. Submitting good patches is the best way to promote this contest!

It might be cool to limit it to the things that are available in ZebraCM so that we can translate the patches for everyone? Or alternatively, limit it to Zebralette which would force some restrictions as well.

I'm +1 for this if there is enough interest.

I think the examples and such you started giving in the contest rules help a lot to drive interest and make it more approachable for beginners. Maybe we could make a really short video tutorial that shows an example patch just to let people know how easy it is to get started.

Just sent...to the Urs email.

As for the next zpc, I don't like restriction to ZebraCM only for a "using Osc FX" thing, because ZebraCM only has Symmetry and Filter for Osc FX choices.
That's too restrictive.
For a Osc FX zpc, it could be restricted to 1 osc, and 1 filter, (with no other vcf filter under Global/FX used).

The any U-he plugin would be good too.
Use any plugin, Zebra or ZebraCM, ACE, Bazille, Zebralette, Triple Cheese, Zoyd, Filterscape, MFM, Uhbik.
That's would be interesting, as you would certainly get more entries then.
I like this idea most.

I am interested in raw sound design and have participated in most of the previous ZPCs. For me it's just a combination of a recent crash in my available free time combined with just not being good enough to keep my motivation up. So a ZPC theme really has to appeal to me now for me to make the time to enter (like the emulation theme: I wasn't interested in emulations as such, it was just a great excuse to make a big pun on "Emu").

But I agree that xh3rv (and before that bmrzycki (and was there anyone else) have all done a great job organising their respective patch comps.
