Because I'm getting a request for a free copy of Zebra every week, I have now decided to officially start an artist endorsement programme.

Artists are eligable to the endorsement programme (free NFR copy of Zebra) if they meet the following conditions:

- Artist must prove popularity, e.g. have produced at least 1 top ten hit in a significant charts system in the last 24 months, or provide data sheets by Media Control, Gema, Ascap whatsoever

- Artist must provide scans of at least 5 interviews in music oriented magazines, such as Groove or Bravo, alternatively video interviews on MTV or music shows on local tv

- Artist must provide scans of at least 5 interviews published in magazines focussed on music production, such as CM, EM, Keyboard, Sound & Recording. Selected blogs may be accepted

- if Artists has prior endorsement by other audio tool company (hardware or software), artist must send signed confirmation that prior endorsements do not conflict with endorsement by u-he, e.g. if Artists still has to mention product XY in interviews, he can not be endorsed by u-he

- Artist must provide prominent mention of u-he gear in each booklet during period of endorsement

- Artist agrees to mention u-he gear prominently in any production centric interview within period of endorsement

- Artist must send set of original photos (cleared for publishing on u-he's print/web/media), to be updated every 3 years

- Artist must provide list of at least 10 appearances of u-he gear on each album within the endorsement period, e.g. "main bass on track 02 by Zebra, preset HS Conepusher"

In return, the Artist will receive an NFR copy of Zebra (save 199$).

Artist can end endorsement period at any time by buying normal license.

That said, it's easier and less time consuming to just pop out the 199$ :D

Which of course shouldn't be a problem if you are a reasonably successful artist anyway..

And it's beyond worth it too.

Yup, way easier to just flop out the cash, rather than getting written consent / release from endorsement by other audio tool companies :P

Problem is, some artists feel "entitled" to a free copy. The new u-he Artists Endorsement Programme gives them a chance to enlighten me about their entitlement.

The new u-he Artists Endorsement Programme also makes sure that all "entitled" endorsed artists are only among other "entitled" artists. Thus no "entitled" artists is "belowered" by the presence of an artists in the programme who is not "entitled".

Hmmm, I see your "entitlement" is just as big as mine....

Where should I send my details! :hihi:
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I don't see why a famous artist should demand anything for free. They should pay like anyone else. Its strange isn't it that the more succesful some people become and the more their income rises the more they want for free. Does it remind anyone of that other group of individuals who are reluctant to pay what they should - The Investment Bankers

well i paid for Z2 before it was even released but i still act/feel as if i'm endorsed!! :D

i nicely mentioned U-He in my interview on the E-MU website & will be mentioning them & featuring there logo on my upcoming release,s (2011) (& recommend there products to over 100 potential users each year) i know i have sold a few ACE's for Urs for Sure!

but i also mention FXp (who i patch design for) & RobPapen (who has kind of endorse me in the past)

but i have creative control over the mentioning of my endorsements! :hihi:

So if I send you my application (say) 200 times, I stand a pretty good chance of getting a free ACE, right? ;-)

Yes. The postage will exceed the price for ACE though. Furthermore, incomplete applications don't count, and enclosed CDs will first need to be judged by nieces and nephews.
