Hi there!
I can not manage to control the Robotronic's synthetizer with my midi keyboard using sonar from cakewalk as sequencer.
I inserted Robotronic as an effect in a audio track, then I created a midi track to control the robotronic synthetiser with my midi keyboard but the plugin doesn't appear in the list of plugin assignable.
Could anybody give me a hand?
Thanks in davance!

You must go to the Plug in Manager (under Sonar's Tools menu, I believe). Then, you must find Robotronic in the list of plugins. Click on Robotronic and then click on properties and check the box that says "Configure as a synth".
From now own, Robotronic will appear in your Synths list instead of your Effects list, but it will allow you to send MIDI signals to it.
In short, Cakewalk considers any plugin that receives MIDI signals as a "synth."

Hmmm... It appears I may have wasted my money here. The original poster here had the same problems I am having. I followed the advice given, by configuring the plugin as a synth, and yeah, I can now insert my Robotronic as a synth and play it with my keyboard, but I want to use a vocal recording withing Sonar and not open it as a sample within Robotronic.
Gutted really. And the supplied manual is not helpful at all.
Sorry

You should be able to plug in Robotronic in as insert efect in an audiotrack and still create a MIDI track and route it to Robotronic.

He's right. Use it as an insert effect. Add a midi track; for input, select your controller, and for output, select Robotronic. Sonar's documentation isn't clear on this; someone hear at KVR helped me with the same issue a while back.Sugar Bytes wrote:You should be able to plug in Robotronic in as insert efect in an audiotrack and still create a MIDI track and route it to Robotronic.
