Need a Musician's Friend coupon?
A: Just call and ask!
I was about to pull the trigger on a $2000 bass and spent a bunch of time scouring the net for coupon codes - no luck, all were expired.
So I thought, "why not call and ask?"
15 minutes on hold and I was given a one-time 20% off code.
$400 off - not bad at all.
of course YMMV.

I wouldn't normally mention this sort of deal here, both because I know there's a fair amount of Waves-hate at KVR and because it isn't exactly a no-brainer, but:
http://www.audiomidi.com/Musicians-II-N ... P5480.aspx
This is the Waves Native Musician's Bundle II at AudioMidi for $117.
It contains what I consider to be some excellent EQ and compressor plugs, and Doubler is, IMHO, the very best at what it does. I use it on just about all of my vocal and guitar tracks. I LOVE the GUI; clean, easily understandable, and powerful.
I got this in an incredible deal that lasted about 4 hours three or four years ago. This is the best price I've seen for this suite since then. I haven't done any WUP, and it still worked fine when I moved it to a new WinXP machine. Mine's on iLok, and this one may not require that, from what I can see at AM's site.

Thanks for the clarification, fx1mark!fx1mark wrote:this is at the bottom of the audiomidi description.
Please note: Waves software requires an iLok Key for authorization.
So, we can also subtract the dongle-haters from this one, too. FWIW, I've had two iLok dongles, plugged into multiple computers, for years, and have never had a problem with them...

Okay, this one's kinda off-the-wall, but I couldn't resist getting one:
http://www.music123.com/Pro-Audio/Micro ... 19.product
Price is $9.99 with free shipping.
It's an old-skool-looking condenser mic that normally goes for about $80. Mixed reviews, depending on what you want to use it for. Lots of Nady stuff is considered to be pretty cheesy, but some of it is good stuff that gets respect when sold under other names in Europe. I have no idea which this might be.
Props to kulardenu at the Harmony-Central Great Deals thread.

Another odd one. I was looking for some other stuff and came across this:
http://www.dcmusicstore.com/FL-Studio-9 ... er-Edition
It's FL Studio 9 Producer for $118.95, with free shipping. Does not seem to be the academic version. The usual price for this is around $199, so this is 40% off.
Since it's the boxed edition, you'd have to send FL another $30 for free updates for life.
This seems to be a legit B&M vendor that's clearancing, and I surmise that FL already got the money for the box, so it wouldn't be messing with gol.
Anybody here know what it would cost to upgrade to the Signature Bundle from this? Might be a good deal...

Another great AudioMIDI deal on Waves plugins:
http://www.audiomidi.com/Native-Power-Pack--P239.aspx
Waves Native PowerPack for 247.50$ ... that's just 180€ !!!
Native Power Pack contains:
* TrueVerb (algorithmic reverb)
* L1 Ultramaximizer (loudness maximizer/limiter)
* Q10 Paragraphic Equalizer (great boosting EQ)
* C1 Parametric Compander (complete dynamics suite - gate, comp, exp, ...)
* IR-L Convolution Reverb (I/R reverb)
* SuperTap 2-Taps (delay)
* Doubler (voice doubler)
* DeEsser (great working de-esser)
* S1 Stereo Imager (stereo tool)
* Renaissance Axx (easy guitar compressor)
And YES, this does require an iLok, but who cares. Even with the iLok this would still be a killer deal.

...Unfortunately, I just got an email from Music123, saying that the mic's on back-order -- Which it wasn't when I purchased it. Hopefully, they'll come through on the deal...
On the Waves AudioMidi deals, what seems to be going on this that Waves is having a 40%-off sale on all of their plugs and bundles. If you shop their site, you pay full price, minus the 40%. But some sites, like AudioMidi, were already discounting the price, and they're taking the additional 40% off now, too. Makes for some interesting prices, and for all I know there might be some even better ones from some other vendor that was already discounting more deeply.
