I only visited this week to download the demo, now the site HAS gone!VariKusBrainZ wrote:I visited the website just last week!!Guenon wrote:So... There's the Circle sale going on at Best Service, but it looks like Future Audio Workshop (or at the very least, their web page) isn't around these days, or...?
Is there any info on whether Circle will be supported at all, or is it essentially a discontinued "as is" product?
If it's the latter, it's a shame to see it go this quickly.
That's the reason it's reduced then, good sounding synth but the high price tag always put me off...

Its up and running now but yeah I don' think they realised the site was down.. they have been launching an ipod app maybe that has taken up all resources...check the market place thread for FAW's reply, Gavin from FAW left a message .. no brainer one of the best I've seen.. risky possible

Nomad Factory says No. If you bought your Nomad Factory software at a discounted rate during an online promotion, you cannot transfer the license to another user. If you bought the software for full price, then you can transfer the license to another user.

This has been carried over from the Bargains Only thread.Gary wrote:There have been cases in the UK were it was ruled that if your money was taken, the retailer had to honor the price advertised... Argos I think, tellys or something..?nigel_khan wrote:Did you get a refund? Grrr... Would have been sweet.
Oh, well. Onward to the next Hot Deal!
I talked to them and they said the refund should post in a couple of days. It's a bit crap but they offered me a discount on another mic (MXL V63M), so I ordered it and it wasn't that much more. I had to pay full price and they are refunding the discount so I'm actually waiting for 2 refunds from them. It's not much money so I'm not too bothered to wait, and I have it all in writing if it comes to disputes. It did take me 3 phone calls to get things straight though.
All in all, I don't think I'll be using them again. Even their store staff said the web site was a mess, and the support seems to be hit and miss at best. You have to talk to the right people to get anything done, and there are only a couple of those.
Cheers,
Nigel

Carried over from the bargain center thread...
Yup, that's the discount I'm talking about, and it won't come with non-transfer restrictions.Ah Xoc Kin wrote:They also have a 55% discount during October, without the NARAS requirement. Is that the one you're referring to?clonewar wrote:Watch with the NARAS discount, they don't allow license transfers on those.Ah Xoc Kin wrote:I don't recall seeing this one here, so here it is.
Waves plugins at 62% off:

I believe that the student membership is $25 and regular membership is $100.
I've bought a few items through Waves Universe. The customer support was excellent, and so were their prices. IIRC, I paid less than $200 to upgrade Waves 3 Gold to version 6 and later I also got version 7 free of charge. I got lucky with the timing
It's only a little less than the October Waves sales (40% off list + dealer discount).. and there's no restrictions on those licenses.

For the record, the site seems to be back up and fully okVariKusBrainZ wrote:I visited the website just last week!!Guenon wrote:So... There's the Circle sale going on at Best Service, but it looks like Future Audio Workshop (or at the very least, their web page) isn't around these days, or...?
Edit: And I went "d'oh!" myself just now, noticing that glasgene had already mentioned this almost two weeks ago

Hi,
has anyone else not received a refund from Music123? I am having to claim my money back through PayPal as they are refusing to do anything about it. I have called them and emailed them numerous times.
I also placed another order but that has been sat processing for 4 days with no information about it.
All in all, a joke of a company.
Cheers,
Nigel

Hmph. I just checked again, after not doing so for about 5 days, and they still haven't refunded the $9.99 to my account, either.
Normally, I'm willing to give vendors a week before I start worrying about it, but the initial charge was on 10/02, so we're getting past the bounds of reasonableness here.
Guess I'll give them a call tomorrow.... Thanks for the heads-up, Nigel!
I'm pretty sure that they're owned by Musician's Friend, which has always been extremely responsive for me (except for their sometimes clueless phone-in deal people), so this is a little surprising.
...Interestingly, several of the links included in the two cancellation emails I got regarding this deal, don't actually lead to their web site -- including the one to their Support page.
Several other links in the mails do lead to their site, so I don't think they're being scammy about it. Just real sloppy.

Good luck with that. I've phoned them and they seem to think that the PayPal payment is like a Credit Card Auth which will time-out. They can't see that the payment has been taken and only the order status is pending.GreyLion wrote:Hmph. I've had another order sitting in the same state so it looks like SOP for them. It's a shame, but even their low prices doesn't make low service acceptable. I'm probably going to have to do a PayPal claim on that too.
Cheers,
Nigel

I think the ones I never see on a sale would be the first to email, for me anyway.andrewlsummer wrote:Why don't we all just email our favorite developers and ask them sincerely for a special sale price? Who would you email?
Could you post back any gossip their sales reps tell you: e.g. we are expecting a sale in October for our XYZ product?
It would nice to see a sale on Surge and Minimonsta, or maybe even a group-buy.
maybe impOSCar will go on sale (for a lot less $$) after version 2 arrives, if it ever gets here...
I thought it would be great if Audio-midi did a "greatest hits" of their no-brainer sales, where they put a few of the most popular ones back on a sale again. For me, I'd like to see them run the sale on Steven Slate drums and UltraAnalog again.
