I decided to pull the trigger on a Receptor 2 but was disappointed to see it only has 2 analog outs. I was hoping to route a bass sound to my bass rig and have all other sounds ( in stereo ) go to my keyboard amp/PA. So thats 3 channels... Am i out of luck? I see it has ADAT. But i can't really use that live, right?

Thanks!

You can use something like the Behringer ADA8000 to convert Receptor's ADAT outs to analog line outs. Within Receptor, you can route signals to any of the 8 ADAT channels.

Are you running very many stereo live mixes? I use my receptor live to process guitar and running dual mono has not generally been an issue. In the studio I use the lightpipe and SPDIF to record all the sounds in stereo on separate channels. I have also used the receptor live with a Presonus Firestudio when I needed more control over mixes and separate stereo.More outputs would be nice, but I'm sure that it would also increase the price.

I just wanted Stereo for Ivory since i have a stereo amp ( Traynor K4 ) with stereo DIs going to the PA. But i decided i can live without it. Just as long as i can use stereo in the studio to keep me inspired. I'm not sure i want to carry around piece of rack gear ( i.e. the Behringer ADA8000 ) tho it does look like a bargin. Thanks for the input. I ordered the Receptor Pro today!

If you're into live gigs, I hope you'll have a ball as much as I did.

lol

This thing is a killer. No more fiddling around, go right to making music. Yes it's not perfect, but we don't live in a perfect world.

Even after a year, I still impress my band with only 2 pieces of gear.

Enjoy!
