Dreammachine 3 MIDI question

I'm new to the free version of Dreammachine 3 and think I've found a problem, but maybe I'm just not understanding something. It seems as though the note being played by the sequencer is not actually the note displayed in "Base" or the Note Seq bar. For example, if I reset "The Art of Flowing Motion" and restart it, it should begin with a G. But the note that is playing seems to be the same as the C coming from my MIDI keyboard. Anyone else notice this? Is there an explanation?

Input from MIDI kb plays along the Step seq setting. Try with a different patch other than 1st to note that more clearly.Newstech wrote:I'm new to the free version of Dreammachine 3 and think I've found a problem, but maybe I'm just not understanding something. Hmmm. I just worked with it some more, using Pause, and different patches, and now it appears that the MIDI keyboard note matches the Base note for all notes except for the first one in the Note Seq, which is the one I was watching before. (I've been muting everything but Mid to make it clearer.) I guess Dreammachine doesn't send a MIDI Out as it plays the seq? I tried routing output to MIDI-OX and didn't see anything. Sorry to be a pest.

There is MIDI out (low part) so simply run a chain with another plug in e.g. Cantabile lite or VSTHost so there is no need to run via MIDI-Ox. As for the first note in the Seq you are right there is a mismatch on Start (but not in loop) nobody noticed before. Fix in next update.Newstech wrote:Hmmm. Thank you very much. Glad I wasn't crazy. I shall try again with the MIDI out -- could be useful. (Problem probably was that low part was muted.)
