Great! But how do we get the update? It's not listed on your website.

Hi

Great update indeed, congrats for 64-bit.

But, here, on Mac Snow Leopard, the installer has done kind of a mess: after installation, it has forbidden me to access to the Documents folder, where the presets are installed.
So Unique couldn't see them (I've even used Pacifist to install the preset folder in the standalone Applications folder, thinking the folder has to be there before finding the Documents issue...).

I've had to re-authorize me in the Info window (Reading and Writing) to be able to open it, and use Unique with presets.

@sleepless: Unfortunatly it seems in very rare case the installer is somehow changing the owner of the documents folder which is quite weird. We just check if we have access to documentsfolder, and only if not, we changing the rights (not the owner). So we are still investigating why/when this phenomen happens.
I guess if you would run the installer now again everything should work fine (because the installer can write to documents without problems). So maybe your documents folder had strange settings before installing ? We also have the vague idea that this happens on systems which made an osx update and not a fresh OS install. Can you confirm that ?

Using Pacifist for our installer is in general a bad idea, because Pacifist does not take scripts into account which are running after the installation process. (In this case copying the presets from application to documents)

Best,
Robert

Hi Robert

Thanks for your answer :)

Yes, my OS is an update, because it's Snow Leopard (10.6.4), and Apple has strongly recommended to install it this way (updating over Leopard rather than making a fresh install).

I have to say that it is the first time such an issue occurs. I've already encountered some permissions issues after installing a software, but not of this kind...

Re-my system, and Documents permission/access, sorry but everything was fine before trying to install Unique.
(it's my pro Mac, it has to be in perfect working condition everyday, so lot of routines, system/permission checking, maintenance, hard test, etc.)

OK, I was just investigating. And thanks, I didn't know that Pacifist behavior.
But that's after installing the presets with it that I've seen Unique was directing to Documents in order to save/load presets. And that I discovered the issue...

I'll try to install again Unique tomorrow.

Best.
