hi urs,
is it possible to have your instruments (zebra, ace, uhbik) open in bigger sizes by default?
i LOVE to have big machines on the monitor - they immediately sounds bigger when they fill out the screen!
thanx, torsten

That's one of the things I might be working on soon.
With ACE for instance I've built a "HiRes-Pack" of graphics so that the big modes are not all that blurry.
For Zebra I'm contemplating to design a new skin that is inbetween normal and large as this is the most aksed for size.

I believe what Zebra actually needs is space. It looks a bit cramped. The same skin in higher resolution in Zebra would't do much. So I to vote for larger, but not blown up, just with more space between some controls.Urs wrote:That's one of the things I might be working on soon.

Yes, exactly. The new design would use the same knob size and design principle as ACE. To create this more spacious design, the Zebra interface needs to be a quarter bigger.filulilu wrote:I believe what Zebra actually needs is space. It looks a bit cramped. That would be really nice! The smallest Zebra size is a litle bit to small, but I don't like the "blurry" look of the bigger sizes.Urs wrote:Yes, exactly. great! looking forward to that versions!
and if it's no more blurry, it's a good opportunity
to get new glasses
i'm goin'to be 50 next year, so i need new glasses more often...
*sigh*
one quarter more for zebra... looks like it's going to get landscape format?
by the way, thanks for answering

Guys,
I think Urs' synth have got the best interfaces out there.. thats one of my biggest turn offs at the moment, the rescaling option is a massive blessing and yes a default would be great but lets take a moment to remember those great synths with god awful interfaces! but way.. surely everyone is using 1920 by 1200 nowadays?
PPG WAVE 2.v - lovely synth.. clunky interface.. tiny tiny pixel graphics.. awful.
pro 53 - same deal.. miniature..
albino.. fine on a 800 pixel resolution.. terrible on anything else..
urs' is the only synths ive ever used that has scalability surely we should applause that!

regards

I know you said, it is the only synth you have ever used with scalability.....just so you know they are more.....for instance NI Kontakt or Maschine to me have some of the best, since it is dynamic...you drag it to exactly how large or small you want it.....there are others.

Little bump on this one, just realised that this option doesn't exist. Would be really handy to be able to save the interface size as default. e.g. I would love for MFM to always open in Large view.
Is this possible?
Thanks a lot
