Hi, I have two computers I do music on. My Main PC DAW in the studio running Nuendo 5 and 4, and my macbook pro running Cubase 5 and 4.

Yesterday I started a project on the PC using one track of Sylenth using Arksun's bank (the point is a non factory bank). When I opened the project on the macbook pro instead of it playing the same Sylenth patch (since I expect the parameters to be saved in Nuendo/Cubase) it instead reverted to the factory patch at the same location as the arksun patch (by that I mean eg. Bank 1, Preset 111)
And yes the arksun bank is installed on both machines and at the same relative location (I mean the same folder as the factory banks, on both machines)
I am using the latest beta on each.
has this happened to anyone else?
thanks

didnt have problems like this. One thing that comes to mind is if you are importing midi you can also check some patch number data automation hidden somewhere which always revers to patch 111.

hi, wasn't an importing midi per se.... cubase opens nuendo projects and vice versa.

I'm testing a project with 5 instances of Sylenth1 with different soundbanks loaded, saving it on the PC and loading it on the Mac (both Cubase 5) will load all 5 instances with the right presets and settings without problems.

Are you really sure you are using the beta version on both Mac and PC? If you're using v2.20 on the Mac and v2.21 on the PC then it will indeed refer to preset 1 as presets are never backwards compatible, only forwards.

You don't even have to have the sound bank installed on both machines. Sylenth1 will dump its entire loaded preset bank in the project and reload it anywhere.

right I didn't expect the second part as necessary.

Please note that there have been two beta releases, v2.210 and v2.211. The versions on both computers need to be same. You can check the exact version number via MENU -> Check for updates.

that might have been it... when I did that a few days ago, it gave me one to download on the mac and I did and installed that.... I also at that time downloaded the latest for windows from the mac and installed that on the pc... but never checked from the pc if it already had gotten the latest install before the PC download from my mac.
hope that makes sense.
thanks
