Should be and should be.
One suggestion, if you are going to be adding new FX to Zebra you might consider bumping the version number (2.5.1 possibly). This will let people know there's more to this update than just a 64-bit beta installer.

I didn't re-install zebra until you mentioned the new osc FX.

Agreed, not only that, every plugin version should be bumped because at least it will include small fixes beside 64 bit native version!

Yep, I havn't swapped these files. Wanted to check MFM2 first...

Regarding version number / added features, the release version of Zebra will probably become 2.5.1, yes. MFM will be 2.1 and Filterscape will be 1.3. I think. Uhbik and ACE will stay at their version numbers unless anything serious happens.

The new OscFX are out of the scope of testing here, but I might start a new thread for it once they are available for Mac as well. I'll also post PD sawtooth, square, pwm (!), peak, double peak and saw-square there. And maybe a few interesting PD resonance waveforms (might need Ripples II)

Thanks Urs! Wrap is :-o to my ears.

I have a question about Wrap. It sounds like negative values sound harsher than positive values. When looking at the waves with an oscilloscope the negative wave transformed looked "spikier". What's the difference between negative and positive Wrap?

[ ] 32-bit VST
[ ] 64-bit VST
[ ] RTAS
[X] Program data

Either way I'm fine with the current setup.

+1

Off to test the new Zebra OSC stuff!! :D

Positive Wrap folds the waveform back from the maximum points. So, the waveform is amplified, and whatever exceeds the maximum level will simply be mirrored back into it at the top and bottom boundaries.

Negative wrap does a similar thing, but it mirrors the maximum from the zero line. Hence there are rather drastic jumps, which make it sound harsher.

Try slightly asymmetric triangle waves for best results ;)

This effect is a relative to teh JP8000's Triangle Wrap effect. While the JP8000 Triangle Wrap only wraps once, with Wrap any waveform can be folded up to 10 times, as the wrapped peaks reach the boundaries on the respective other side. However, it's not quite the same principle as the JP8000 Triangle Wrap. The JP doesn't mirror the Triangle, it puts the Triangle back in from the other side. I might adjust the negative Wrap to do the same thing (will be even harsher, maybe).

Hi,

I've installed the Windows 64 bit version of Zebra, and I don't see the new OSC FX. I used the link in this thread, and did it twice to make sure.

Must be missing something...

I'm using 64bit Orion as the host.

Best regards,

Gino

They should be at the bottom of the oscFX list... after HyperComb. The new ones are PhaseDist and Wrap

Gino, maybe you need to delete the old Zebra(64).dll - the new version installs as Zebra(x64).dll, note the 'x'.

Does the new updated Zebra installer on page 1 install only 64bit version? I'm asking because when I've tried it it was automaticaly wanted to install in my x86 folders by default. I have presently Zebra2(64).dll installed in the right location(x64 program folders).

Also is it a good idea to back-up .data file? (to not loose any presets)

Thanx for your help.
