yeah a time limit doesn't bother me, it can be a cool thing to try... and it would erase all of those 18 minutes drone ambients tracks (which is what I would have done, lol).

Time limit is ok, I too already have an all zebra tune, actually it's made only of oldskool soundset; what about 4 minutes?
And do you all agree about using zebra but not limited to presets (whatever bank)?
Thanks,
Mario

Alright here is my entry... I think it will motivate people because everyone will be able to do better
Title: Stream
Length: 1:33
Link: http://soundcloud.com/gino-cortesi/stream-1
Host: Orion
All instruments and effects Zebra: Yes
Notes: I made this in a few hours this morning. I made a collection of ambient effects, you hear a few of them at the beginning and end. Again all using Zebra.
Best regards,
Gino

I'll be happy to offer up these pieces, which are all Zebra. All but one, however, use non-Zebra reverb (e.g. Uhbik-A). I can fix that if necessary.

The Zebra album is a wonderful idea. My vote is for an all Zebra submission with a (short) time limit. Four minutes and thirty-three seconds comes to mind, but that's probably much too long. The more people (therefor a shorter time limit) and the more styles represented the better, this would best showcase the remarkably expressive spectrum Zebra offers.

Maybe we need a boxnet account to gather the submissions into one place.Bronto Scorpio wrote:Hi everyone!
Wouldn't it be a nice idea if we would make a complete album just with zebra?

I'd like to contribute. I have some tracks that are mostly Zebra, which I could tweak to be just Zebra. It'll take a little while, but it should be doable.

I'd like to contribute, but it looks like I won't find much time soon!
Anyway, here's a very short demo of the kind of sound I would want to use (you can tell I don't do "dance2trance"):

Krim killed me on the mixing, and now you casually throw this out there... wow.
Speaking of styles, maybe we should break the album into sections so we get a full spectrum sonic assault.

Can I submit Howard's clip run through Uhbiks with a (Zebra) boom-cha techno beat?

Here's my entry for the Zebra Album (what's an album? )
It's all Zebra, no external fx except a compressor-limiter on the main.
It was done in Garageband. No notes are quantized.
The presets are all new ones I did, except the kick drum, which is from Vanilla Percussion presets, by xh3rv.

I liked them all but particularly Minute Watch which sounds like something Harry Partch would have done if he had Zebra. Great!mleghorn wrote:I'll be happy to offer up these pieces, which are all Zebra. All but one, however, use non-Zebra reverb (e.g. Uhbik-A). I can fix that if necessary.
