I have been trawling through KVR and other site for half a day now, and i CANNOT find a simple .wav file playback vsti.
All previous messages were about sonfont players and a whole lot of dodgy links....
I want something like EXS 24 for logic. Simple, load the wav, assign it to the key, one shot/loop/trigger and blah blah.
I cannot find one!!! HELP!

Thanks Meo.
What i was expecting posting this here, on the KVR receptor forum, was learned responses from people with a clue. Im glad you have worked out how to do a google search, maybe next you can try email! Its great fun.
This message i posted, has had 127 views and one smart ass response. Are there any receptor users out there who give a shit?
Anyways after much research and testing, or just having the brain cells to do more than a google search *ahem* i have found a great free solution that works great on receptor. (isnt this what these forums are for???)

Searching on google is really something

Apparently that was the only option left!

You might try DiscoDSP Highlife. It's free and works on Receptor. Maybe not as straightforward as you want for simple 1 sample playback. Beyond that I can't think of anything that fits your application that I know works but here are some free things to try.
FXpansion DR-005 - already on Receptor and free, for drums but you could
use any sound, never tried it that way though. You
might look at drumsample players in general as they
can be similar to what you are looking for.
EGG Audio Project - NN-29 Digital Sampler - simple one shot player, early
development so probably buggy
Jordan Aase - Cyber
Sonic Assault - Sam! multiple wavfile player
SYNTHEDIT LABO JAPAN - XTT01 Simple wavfile player
Benedict Roff-Marsh - LS-01 Simple sample player in samplepack II, not
free but only $7.50 for the pack but not sure it
works on Receptor of course
