Anyway, here's a very short demo of the kind of sound I would want to use (you can tell I don't do "dance2trance"):

I liked them all but particularly Minute Watch which sounds like something Harry Partch would have done if he had Zebra. Great!
Thanks for listening, and for the kind feedback.

I used a tune file for Minute Watch. It uses a scale commonly used in Tibet. This piece was played at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, as part of a musical exhibit featuring 60 micro-tonal pieces, submitted by various composers, each piece being 60 minutes long. It's part of 60X60. Here's a link: http://www.voxnovus.com/60x60/Events.htm.

does kvr have it's own servers to place music on? If so how?

It doesn't - If you're thinking of the music tracker, that's done by a script that monitors 'Music Cafe' posts for links.

If you want to put music on that tracker, check the monthly contests in the music cafe for some links to servers generously maintained by other KVRites.

If you don't want to get on that tracker, I've been really happy with SoundCloud but there are a lot of good options here.

Is this an annual event as it seems there have been several previous years as per the following link:

Some really interesting pieces and there are some clips off of that site from previous years issued by Capstone Records. Thanks for the link.

I like this as well - it's something you could easily imagine in a dance/theatre production.

Those are some pretty fantastic sounds. Are they Zebra? If so, are you holding out on us on some really awesome patches? Are you keeping the best for yourself?

"Those" were/was just one patch, played live.

I'm holding back quite a few patches I made for movies, I can't release those ones because they were commissioned. BTW: the one in the above clip was for the "Inception" soundtrack. Fortunately, I can use them for music (if I ever get round to THAT!)

My first thought when I heard the piece was - "Zimmer Sound" somehow.

Yes, it's an annual event, with a different theme each year. This year, the theme was micro-tonal music.

Hey Howard, just curious, did you happen to design any patches for "The Dark Knight"?

Post

I'd like to contribute to this too, is it too late?
