BTW, are we supposed to use it only on mono sources? Stereo tracks produce a lot of strange noise (with the chorus knob engaged). :?:
I've also noticed some odd behavior with stereo into the plugin (Intel Q9550 processor, Vista 64-bit business, REAPER 64-bit, using the built-in 32-bit bridging), might need a little going over there, but-

the sound quality is really exceptional and far beyond any other freeware delay I am familiar with. Definitely commercial quality - as always - and perhaps most importantly, like a real tape delay, it sounds good in FRONT of anything, not just at the end of the chain. I love that.

Thumbs up, ten stars, eleven golden sandwiches, another hit from freeware's golden man, etc.; but, yeah, perhaps the mono/stereo behavior could be examined thoroughly to make sure there aren't any bugs in the process?

(You do have to adjust the big knob with different mono configurations, e.g. dual mono, ping pong, if you're getting issues without touching that knob it may be user unfamiliarity causing the problem, but I've noticed some strange behavior with the Modulation knob.

I need to give the manual a thorough examination, this thing is clearly sophisticated and deep and I need to understand it better, but just the first-load experience is highly, highly, HIGHLY positive, I'd have paid for this one. Or anything he's made in the last two years, for that matter. What a dev!

This thing is so damned good with guitar. I'll post a clip or two in the morning hours. Just up to turn off the lights and hit the sack now. But man, it works so, so well. Combines ducking with tape emulation for one of the most "get out of the way" delays ever, while still having a HUGE impact on the overall sound, tons of character. Lovely!

And at a very low cpu usage! Thanks VOS crew this one is in my favorites folder.

This thing has imediately found a place in a remix I'm preparing, in a guitar track for a start to keep the delay over while other things build up.

Amazing stuff, really!

Logic Tape Delay is trembling...

Thank you,

BTW, a little FR:

what about a button to reset delay buffers? You can already do it turning off and on the power button, but a dedicated one would be more appropriate imo.

You can easily go into wild echoes, and a sort of delay panic command (automatable) would be very useful for me.

Thanks again,
Mario

The chorus artifacts/noise issue is confirmed but a little bit diffuse and unspecific at the moment. If you report this, please give some more info about specific host and CPU type, OS and host versions, samplerate used, mono/stereo, special circumstances ...

thanks in advance,

Amazing, amazing plugin.
Thanks a million, my RE-501 will now finally find some well deserved rest!

Awesome plugin. I could instantly make those very scary dark retro-scifi delays from the 60's. I could even dial in a rather good spring reverb emulation.

I love the Aged button, but i really would like to have a much more smeared option like some tape often does.

3 Thumbs up
