MMultibandConvolution - any way to change ir folder?

Hi,
Is there any way to change the default folder of IR's?
I'm willing to try even some hex editor hack, if there isn't any other way.
I really hate it when programs use Windows User folders like this. It's somewhat ok for example for personalized settings of some program, but really bad habit in cases like this. NOBODY wants to store sample collection there. It's not related to personalized settings/saves any way, so it shouldn't be in user directory.
And it should be configurable any way. Global file system browsing isn't very handy in mmultibandconvo and it doesn't even need to, but would be nice if you could change the default folder and folders in Favorites could act like the default folder.

Hi,
I don't really understand, the default folder points to factory IRs. Then you can browse your entire filesystem and if you have some standard paths, you can just save it as favorite.

Yes, but the entire filesystem browser just isn't very good. unless you make the browser area really big. The view of factory ir's is very compact and only show subfolders of factory ir folder. The favorites should imo work same way - using the favorite folder as root and thus making the folder browser area really nice and compact.

This probably won't happen - more controls->less space etc. Anyway you can make the browser much bigger with the new version - note the "collapse" buttons in titles of the main panel and the window. You can make many things disappear leaving space for the browser.

Yeah, this is precisely how I feel. If there was a way to simply go to a user set folder, and not have the entire rest of the windows file system cluttering it would be wonderful.sauli wrote:Yes, but the entire filesystem browser just isn't very good. unless you make the browser area really big. I don't know how others feel about this, but I really don't see any need for factory IR folder. It should be just a user defined default folder. I have already moved all the supplied IR's to my personal IR folder and now the button that switches between factory and global browser is totally useless. I think this is what many other users have done too - there really isn't any point in storing some IR's in Windows user folder and others in their own IR folder.
Favorites working with same logic that default folder would be a big plus, but if default folder is configurable it isn't that big deal.

I'm afraid it's not that simple. Once again - did you try collapsing the sample viewer? And potentially the multiband editor? It leaves soo much space
