were there any audio files of these? I'm interested in all of Urs' products but have no budget for them for the foreseeable future. But it would be cool to hear them...

I'm happy that I got at least a few votes. I really liked Dramatic Entrance, but I guess I was alone there.xh3rv wrote: loquat: Big, Bad, and Digital ( 6 ), Dramatic Entrance

Yeeeeiiiiii, it's confirmed:-)

I'm soooo happy:-)
Didn't expect to win at all, at first I was just happy that a few people actually voted for my patch. And just when I had written in the thread "I'm not gonna win anyway", the votes started to kick in:-)
Thanks a lot to everybody who voted for my patch, I'm glad I could match your taste:-)
Also thanks to everybody for submitting all those great patches, I put together a little tune today using only patches from this contest and have to say, the patches work even better in a musical context then already do when just played on a keyboard.
And, of course also thanks to the U-tHEam for organizing this and for the price. I just have to decide now, what plugin I can live without even less than without the others... will have to sleep over this, it's too late for difficult decisions:-D

I will sleep with a babies happy smile on my face tonight.... wish you all a good night or day, whatever applies in your part of the world:-)
All the best,
V

Oh no you were not! And that's what made the choices so tough. This one, as well as several more, could have easily made my top 3. In the end I thought almost all of them were pretty good and useful. What I also noticed was that the patches were not of the same vein. I think that speaks volumes about the versatility of ACE.loquat wrote:I really liked Dramatic Entrance, but I guess I was alone there.

I've found Ace to be pretty limitless (so far) cause of the patching and modulation options in the drop down boxes. These patches served as an inspiration to dig deeper and just doing that i came up with a bunch of new sounds that i didn't realise Ace was capable of so kudos for the comp and all the great patches.

I think the way voting tends to work out, it's a pretty normal distribution regardless of whatever the baseline might be. If it makes you feel better, I think Dramatic Entrance was unfairly discriminated against for being TARNCEyloquat wrote:I'm happy that I got at least a few votes. Just to be clear, there's not really anything behind the scenes here - Zebra contests were started by Hakey, the first 'prize' was Bazille and then Urs volunteered licenses to his commercial stuff, things just kind of ended up where they are now. Which is pretty cool IMO - it's really about the synths being such a pleasure to work withSurphaze wrote: And, of course also thanks to the U-tHEam for organizing this and for the price.

Sorry for the shameless intrusion with this, but don't forget there's a composition competition here (Using Ace and the Symmetry demo): http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 19&start=0
Submission entry deadline is November 13th and the top 3 vote receivers have a chance to win $100 each.
Surphaze... you should try your luck once more (but definitely buy that lotto ticket!).
Otherwise, I'm glad to see that these contests are still going strong. I would love to participate again, but I have had my eyes glued to the computer screen editing samples.... they're never ending it seems.

I'd love to hear more Bazille sounds but it might not be a good idea to have a patch contest just yet. The synth is in alpha state meaning there might be considerable changes from now until the final release. Sounds made in the contest might not sound right on the final version.GeorgeZ wrote:Grats sun! Man I hope the next one is BazilleLove it... a bit harder to make expansive patches though, no FX yet
