I'm sorry to report again woes with the install/update procedure for freebies:
1) I had installed 4.01c, then I ran the 4.02 offline updater; everything fine except that MTuner was not installed.
2) I then uninstalled everything and ran the full 4.02 offline installer, specifying as paths a mix of slashes and backslashes - the install went fine but the subsequent check for updates failed (again "missing definition file").
3) So, I uninstalled again and reinstalled with all slashes in paths using the 4.02 offline installer; all good except the fact that the online update check says that there's an update available (4.02, the one already installed)...
I hope you can fix once and for ever such annoyances.
Thank you,
Mario

Again... The freebies will never be fine. Anyway
1) That's correct, it's just necessary evil with freebies.
2), 3) I'll check these.
Cheers!

What about releasing the freebies in a simple zip file to unpack manually to the VST plugin folder? This would eliminate the need for you to support and mantain the installer/updater - for freebies at least

Not possible, it needs to install other resources (styles, presets, maybe something more...).

I just checked that the uploaded version wasn't the latest (well, the plugins were, it's just another installer generation, which causes to offer the updates). Anyway now there is a correct version, I checked with slashes and backslashes and seems fine (though it is funny looking at the installers progress where the slashes and backslashes are changing all the time
)

Using the colorful style, it's not possible to see if the link button is engaged in MMultiBandRythmizer. Also, is the fact that the note letter becomes bold when a sequence is selected the new feature? (better representation of which sequence is selected). With the default style I clearly see that there is a bolder outline around the selected sequence (very cool) but this is absent in the colorful style. Anyway, no biggie, but I have chosen to use the default style for this plugin because of these limitations (even though I prefer the colorful style). In this case, functionality is more important than looks, but if you ever have the time, please consider improving the colorful style (so we can see which buttons are engaged). It's missing a button on and off cue as is present in the default style (where you can see when the button is pushed down or not).
The same applies to MStereoProcessor. I can't see which buttons are being solo'ed or muted as well (Clicking the buttons on and off does not change the GUI icon any way for the colorful style). So I have to remember which bands I mute and solo. Gets confusing. Again, I'm going to revert to the default style, but I am a little bummed out as I much prefer the way my colorful style skin looks. If only I could see when the mute and solo buttons are engaged..
I know you had talked about releasing a complicated tool to edit the styles but to be honest I don't think I'd have the time to learn such a thing. Would you please consider just adding a way to see which buttons are selected/deselected in the colorful style? That, and a better way to see which sequence is selected in Rhytmizer are really the 2 only things I feel are missing. Anyway, thanks for listening.

Hehehe... No! I am happy you introduced it!.
It's weird because the default and colorful styles look exactly the same (aside from the colors) so I don't understand why the On/Off status is only visible in the default style. Thanks for looking into this!

Why? Are you just talking about the installer / update?MeldaProduction wrote:Again... The freebies will never be fine.
I've used them sometimes (the paid version, though) and think they're good... I actually just put MEqualizer on my new album's guitar buss...quite an important buss, if you think it's extreme metal
and believe me when I say that I have quite some EQs to choose from, hehe

Hehe thanks
. And yes I was talking about the installer. For some reason there are so often problems with it. They are minor and usually caused when some people use some specific settings, but still... Hopefully next time even the freebies will be fine.

I have to give some praise to you for the mautoalign plugin.
I was unaware of meldaproduction plugins until last week. Great little tool.
