Interesting. It does appear in my Chainer, no problem.

If the rescan of plugs doesn't find it, are you sure that it is indeed in your vstplugins folder?

(Hey, it happens...:-) )

Post

yeah, totally sure. bizarre. the computer where it happens has no SSE, could this be why?

Just tried on my main machine now, the one that does have SSE, and it's fine there...

The new features are *very* fitting to this instrument, good job guys, now I can make even crazier and more psychotic sounds :D

Post

This is all on a Sager P4 2.8, W2k, FW410(ASIO@5ms)...8-note test on the default preset was 15%...
I had 5 instances going in a forest of industrial madness + external fx(watched her with and without)...and could've put one more in as far as CPU goes...If I strip the FL Studio loop down to only Abguit...according to the meter total polyphany is as high as 24(crammed into the piano roll...) and she thrives...
Only thing I wish is that there were some kind of kill switch as the host's couldn't kill the feedback after I stopped and tried to kill the feedback several times...That's just what I get for choosing harsh sounds, but it'd be nice to shut her up now and then to work on other parts of the project...
Cakewalk wrapper liked her just fine...
Anything specific you want me to try to push her limits?

abs2 seems to work ok initially in Tracktion and Chainer.

performance numbers: default preset 8-notes gives around 19% on my 2.1ghz p4. strangely 3-note chord gives 15%, so it doesn't increase linearly.

I noticed that you can bypass all effects (cpu lowers with them off) except stereo chorus. or at least cpu doesn't change with its dials set at zero.

Hello there,

I think William built only a SSE dll,
but a non SSE version if available as well,

feedback should stop on note off, usually it does, <grin>, Ford can you reproduce the unstopable feedback?

Did you have the new presets files fxp to test too?

Post

Guys, the file is supposed to work on non-SSE. So please, double check if it was not a Chainer refresh problem.

Luigi, I forgot to add the FXP files, I will upload now to the same location the beta-files are.

sorry to be dim, how do i change the position of the red variation knobs?

Post

Do you mean how you edit the skins? If so, check for the dir "AbsGuitar Skins\default" and open the file "Skin-Parameters.txt" is all there. ;-)

ah i see, the red arrows on the default skin aren't suppose to move then

Post

Ahhh, now I got what you mean.

Yes, they don't move, is just a MAX display for the knob. ;-)

Same here.

I get 12.9% with Chainer with same 8 note preset on my Athlon XP+ 1600 w. 1Gb ram and DMA 133 hd. Three note chord gives 9.7% load Wonder why I get nearly 30% less load for the 8 notes ?

:?
