I didn't see this posted anywhere so here we go. Saw it on the Sweetwater site - don't know if it's exclusive to them.

Limited-time Offer! - FREE UAD-2 Solo ($649 Value)!

Purchase a Universal Audio 710 Twin-Finity from Sweetwater for $799 between November 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010 and get a FREE UAD-2 SOLO or Laptop Accelerator Package, a $649 value (retail price)! Make sure your claim is postmarked by January 20, 2011. See form for details.

M.A.P. for PCI card is $399, Laptop card is $499, so you're really getting at most a $500 card for free (which is great, just not $649).

If anyone was seriously considering a Twin-Finity or UAD-2 Solo, now's the time. If you don't need the UAD, sell it to offset your cost of the preamp. If you wanted the card, buy the preamp and get the card for free, then sell the preamp to bring the cost of your card WAY down. That is, if you're into doing stuff like that...

BTW - if you do buy this from Sweetwater and you don't already have an account with them, my friend and sales guy is Nate Edwards. If you ask for him you'll be hooked up with one of the best they have over there.

Not exactly, you have to register and then buy points to get the plug for free.
Seems like the mechanism that sends you the code to use when you buy is broken.

If you're waiting for someone to acknowledge this with a smilie, I'll oblige. ->
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

Thanks, Hewitt! I'd figured that it had sailed right past.... :D

... To make this a deal posting, instead of just chat, perhaps I should mention that you can read essentially all of the print issues of PG online for free here: http://www.premierguitar.com/

Click on, well, 'Read Magazine'. It really is a damn good mag.

Korg Nano Controllers are now £29.99 (+P&P) at Dolphin Music, some include a case. I guess it will spread to other stores too, so P&P may be negotiable.

I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.

FWIW -- I just got in the latest issue of Electronic Musician, and it seems that they've extended the arrangement with AAS for people to still be allowed to purchase Tassman 4 for $99, until the end of the year. Use the code EMFALL2010.
Could not resist

This one's a bit of a bank-shot --

Buy Kore 2 from NovaMusik for $159:

http://www.novamusik.com/search.aspx?ty ... =357&lbs=1

Then you can get the upgrade to Komplete 7 from JRRShop, with a possible 10% discount by using the 'Forum' code, to a price of $270:

http://www.jrrshop.com/catalog/native-i ... 10076.html

Total price for both would then be $430.

If the upgrade isn't eligible for the JRRShop code, you can get it from BH:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/7 ... rtual.html

Price is $299, but includes a $25 gift card for future BH purchases.

Post

Yeah, but JRRSHOP has it for $450 for Kore and Komplete Upgrade. This includes the controller.

FWIW, I just registered at the obedia site, and instantly got the link, serial and instructions for getting the free Ampitube 2 Duo.

Confirmed that it seems to work here.

Just got the amplitube duo for free as well on the Obedia site. The serial number is sent before you need to actually activate your account on Obedia, so it's up to you in the end to decide if you want to activate your Obedia account or not.
Play it by ear
