i'd love to see an update with the same GUI (and additional functionality) as the ms20 ipad version.
Totally agree. I reckon Korg deliberately stuck the scroll bar into the original Legacy MS-20's interface, just to impede the ease of use a bit, in order to further justify why it was bundled with a dedicated hardware controller at the time. However that was then and this is now.

The colours, and particularly the fonts, chosen for the MS20 (and the Polysix for that matter) make things much harder to see than they otherwise need to be. It's slightly more tolerable on the Mono/Poly simply because the background colour isn't so dark that it makes your eyes feel like they're struggling to see detail.

At least, if they insist on going more towards the "photo realistic" side of things, they should enlarge the GUI enough that people don't feel like they have to sit much closer or turn up the brightness! C'mon Korg. If you can do something with the iPad then at least show the old VST's a bit of love now you've got them back on sale!

I don't get it :? I have them all and you just have to click the "edit" botton to change the tiny interfaces into quite usable interfaces. Goes for Polysix and MS20 at least.

This is great! Now to see if I can download the demos with a dial-up connection. I've downloaded Wavestation, now to see if I can download the M1 over two or three evenings.

If you find the 5x4 pixel fonts (that's what they use in edit mode) acceptable then you've either got a huge screen set to a rather low resolution, you're sitting 6 inches away from the screen, or you've got advanced bionic font rendering enhancements built into your eyes ;)

Yea the interfaces are pretty small. The Wavestation is particularly maddening. I've owned it for a few years now and it's architecture still annoys me. Anyone looking for a Wavesequencing / Vector Synthesis type plugin would do well to demo Wusikstation as well. I think the price is pretty comparable right now with the Group Buy going on and it's open architecture allows for user sample import which Wavestation does not.

The MS 20 and PolySix have never gotten much love here but I've had more fun with the M1 in the last day than any synth I've purchased in recent memory..............

It is better but it still has a silly scroll bar and some of the fonts are too small (same with the Arturia Moog Modular) - I wish devs didn't keep sacrificing usability to the false god of realism

Thankfully I have NI Kore and can dispense with Korg's gui most of the time

Anyone using with wine perchance?

But then more people would complain it doesnt sound enough like the real thing.

I've been meaning to do some soundsets for Korg plugins...good thing we waited, now that the user-base just got a little bigger haha :)

Anyhow, I'd highly recommend the MDE-X Effects suite if you're either just getting started building a DAW or not interested in any of the synths. At 20 bucks, it's definitely more than worth it... decent quality distortion, reverb, delay, compressor, chorus, etc.

...well, guess it's time for me to dust off the KLC boxes and get to work! :D

Oh I wish I had, for sure. Sounds pretty cool to me 8)

My 2 cents MDE-X and M1 are the star's amongst what is a very good deal; in that M1 is pretty unique with the way its organised and sounds wise, MDE-X = high quality effects for no money at all. (I'm sure if it was an audiomidi no brainer it would sell through the roof)

I used to own KLC and Mono - Poly is my favourite out the bunch.

must admit the MS - 20 was a bit painful to use but WOW its heavy!

Not sure about 2007's tour, but if you run Wavestation and the initial patch (RAM 1's first patch) and hit the upper registers, you have the basically the exact sound for the part of "Fading Lights" from "We Can't Dance". Love that sound, btw.

This isn't Tony, but you get the idea (particularly around 1:20):

Danm, I never noticed that. You are right, of course. Only the footswich and two midi ports are used. Found a picture and it is quite obvious there: http://en.academic.ru/pictures/enwiki/66/Banks.jpg

Well, I guess this kind of makes the whole Genesis thing off topic. But, hey, Tony Banks OWNS a Wavestation. That's something too, right?

Yes true, once you are at the correct window its fine.

I wouldn't waste your time on the MS 20 or PolySix......they have been done to death but some Wavestation or M1 patches would be welcome. :D
