Having said that it's clear that you can also make good sounds in draft mode...

render to audio is your friend. You can use accurate and stack voices and never run out of cpu! :)

O/T: I couldn't find any info on this on u-he.com so I'll ask here instead: What are the upgrade policies on Zebra? have all these updates been free for registered users?

Yes, the last 4 years have been free

The only upgrade fee ever was from Zebra 1.x to 2.x, which was 20$ USD back then. That was because it was a complete rewrite from scratch. Only the filter algorithms of Zebra 1.x have made it into 2.x.

Yes.
There all free until it makes a full version jump, which then I believe there is a cheaper upgrade price than if buying it new.
I forget the details about that exactly though.

Just a quick Sunday night update :)

Been working on the sync issues with the global Swing implementation. I'm still having trouble updating MSEGs for full sync. LFOs seem pretty stable now, and surprisingly few tweaks to the Arp seem to have done the trick as well.

We'll soon need a field test though. The swing might vary a little bit from before, but that's because it's literally a full rewrite of all sections involved. I'm sure it's only milliseconds though. But then, the arpeggiator can run for hours and keep timing.

A (probably impractical) suggestions for ACE - would it be possible to plug a cable into a prewired socket (eg an ADSR in one of the filter modules) and have the signal from the cable scale the prewired signal? I know that the multiples could be employed to the same effect, but it might be useful where both multis are already in use.

Yeah, sorry, that's not going to work... from the prewired modulators, the LFOs can already be scaled in the unit itself, only the ADSRs and the Modwheel can not.

It would be way too much effort to add "scalable wires".

Ack! I totally forgot about this thread! :dog: Here, I've just been putting feature requests in all sorts of unrelated threads. :hihi:

I remember that there was a reason for not having a feedback module in Zebra but now that I'm getting more and more use from Zebrify, the more I find myself desiring one. Something similar to the mixer module except it allows you to send signal back to the top of the grid (or ideally to any point in the grid). It would also be nice if you could select different points in the signal chain to extract signal for the pitch/envelope detectors.

If these requests are not possible/plausible, I will accept delicious German pastries as a substitute. :D
