Gutarist plays ahead of the beat in Cubase 5

I am using Guitarist Demo 1.0.2 and Cubase 5.1.0. When a play a pattern back and Guitarist is in EXT mode it triggers about a 8th of the beat ahead of the sequence. Changing the Strum speed didn't affect the timing. Triggering in INT mode from the keyboard will play the pattern in time. Any sugestions?

How I wish that was true but it's not. I will start a new project and insert Guitarist as a VSTi. It loads with a pattern by default. I enable "Click" and press Play. Guitarist will play ahead of the click. No audio or MIDI tracks. Tempo is 120 bpm.

This is an extremely rare problem that we could not reproduce so far.
Maybe try Thesys or Consequence demo, to see if they also run beside
the beat. Try a different audio driver and maybe different sample rates.
Are other plugins loaded at that time? Do you have the chance to try a different sequencer like ableton live?
