Free plugins bundle - install or update?

I have all my VSTs in different folders (compressor, eq etc), so will the update version find my previously installed stuff and overwrite, or is it like the normal install where everything goes to one folder and have to be moved one by one to where I want them after?

Eh? The difference is it works like the normal install. As you said, it puts them all in one folder.

I mean what's the difference with the normal and update install?

My bad. It was late, I misunderstood your question.
The updater is a one step process. You start it, it looks for updates, then downloads and installs them. If you just reinstaaled the plugins yourself, you'd have to go to the Melda site, download the installer, extract it and then install the plugins.
So really it's just convenience.

Update just updates the files where they are currently located on your hard drive.
Normal always points to the default location and you have to redirect it to where you may have them installed or where you want them.

Ok thx. I tried the update but got an error message saying the "Software definition file not found" which I have no idea what means, so I guess it will have to be the old installing to a folder and moving them around after.

Yes, I'm afraid this won't work. The installer has a log of files it created. If you place them somewhere else or something like that, it cannot know that. Some categorization is planned though.
