GUITARIST - Some questions about it (???)

Hello,

I just purchased Guitarist.

I use it as a VST in Fruity Loops. And today i test the standalone version.


I would like to use it as a VST all time but if i need to use it in standalone because i can't do all what i want with it in Fruity Loops it"s not a problem.

I have few questions on guitarist.

1/ How to record correctly (i mean record from the first second to the end of the pattern or song) in Fruity loops // and in standalone.

In Fruity loops i cannot control where and when stop the record correctly and not manually.

And in standalone i cannot use audio recorder and start the music in the same time.

How it works ?

And i would like to end my song maybe by a decay of sound.


My worst and only problem actually is the recording with Guitarist in VST and in StandAlone mode.

Could someone help me ???

I need with fruity loops to record audio and notes in the piano roll too.

Hi, I would recommend to trigger Guitarist with midi notes from the piano roll. Since it seems to be difficult to set a note-off in fruity loops, I would recommend to call an empty pattern in order to make Guitarist stop playing at certain points.

When recording with the standalone, currently you can not start recording and playback at the same time, but that will be added with the next update.

About midi notes in a channel in fruity loops.

I already tried.

But i don't know anything about midi.

When i play it plays the notes but it not like in guitarist, it's not very working.


I have another question.

How to connect my Midi keyboard in the standalone ? I tried the options but event with my Midi KB On, nothing work, and when i open guitarist standalone first and i made ON my midi KB it's not working too.


Any tips please ?

After you loaded the Guitarist channel,
select the Guitarist track and then click the keyboard button in the fl studio pattern window,
to see the piano roll of the Guitarist track. Then insert notes to call chords and patterns.

Regarding the keyboard in standalone mode, make sure "Status" is "On" in
the standalone Midi settings. Make sure you send midi notes within the Guitarist mapping range (C1-C5) and make sure the midi driver is not used by another program.

Thanks a lot for your advices


I can now use my keyboard, and put settings correctly.

For midi in FL Studio, i had drag and drop from the guitarist interface, midi map directly in the guitarist channel, but i need to test again, for the moment i can't reproduce the sound of guitarist in Fruity loops without play guitarist vst "play button".

But i great if i can drag and drop the midi map in channel to change instruments to test my riff in other instruments than guitar.


I have few questions more, this time only on VST itself and commercial.

Do you think you will add other play method in the VST and standalone, for example (i'm not guitarist but i played a little with guitars of friends and i think some things are missing). Palm mute, harmonics, and maybe vibrato or floyd rose , to be able to play riffs like Sepultura, Pantera, or others Metal bands and guitarists uses.

And : I purchased Guitarist recently but i wonders if the updates and upgrades are free life time ? Or need i to pay again for version 2 for example ?

We have a very friendly update policy. Minor updates never cost money.
We already have damp and dead notes which is the same as palm mute i think.
We also have vibrato options. But we'll propably offer more features in future updates.
