Hey guys,
Zebra seems to be locked and after a while a blue smudge appears on the screen. I'm unable to get in to put in my serial.
Any ideas?

Kyle, just send your full name and e-mail address you used to register Zebra2 to anybody [at] u-he [dot] com. They'll get back to you with an updated serial to fix the problem you're experiencing.

The mode you're talking about is caused by running Zebra2 using a serial which it recognizes as illegal. The support team at U-He can help explain the steps to you on how to update the key so that you'll be in working order. Sharing of serials is not permitted in the license of Zebra2, so your friend is not allowed to share his/her copy with you. If you want Zebra2 registered you need to purchase your own license.
By the way, 2.2 is a very, very old release. You really should consider moving up to 2.5 as the new gui layout and filter modes, along with new modules such as side-bands.
It's also worth mentioning the demo-mode of Zebra 2 is one of the most forgiving in the industry. You can do everything a fully registered copy of can except that after about 15 minutes Zebra starts playing it's own notes instead of the ones you send it. No problem, unload Zebra, re-load it, and you'll be back in business for another 15 minutes.
Please don't illegally use Zebra2, Urs is a one-man show and without paying customers he wouldn't be able to do this for a living.

Please download Zebra 2.5 and install without checking the "migrate from previous version" option. That'll fix it (it will still not take whatever serial you have though)

Did your friend pay Urs for it?. If he did, he should have asked him permission to transfer the license to you. If not, you are right now in the forum where the guy that you and your friend are ripping off gives support to his customers.KyleMorgan wrote:Any ideas?

Seems like it's support the crack heads week this week.
There's been more than usual, unless it's the same dude that keeps signing up under different names.
