Shouldn't you be over voting on some certain ACE presets?GeorgeZ wrote:Ye, I found it to be quite ok on CPU, mostly.

Interesting.. Could it mean that it's more optimized than ACE somehow?rups wrote: btw despite your warnings cpu usage is preety good on my dual core 2ghz, 2gig ram Macbook - never had anything above 41%; which is less than I get on ACE sometimes...

I just made a whole track with Bazille without bouncing. That wouldn't be possible with ACE.
Cheers

Bazille does not have unison like ACE does eitherVSTJuNkiE wrote:+1rups wrote:btw despite your warnings cpu usage is preety good on my dual core 2ghz, 2gig ram Macbook - never had anything above 41%; which is less than I get on ACE sometimes...

Yeah, I was going to say you can't stack voices in Bazille.
Bazille is indeed under appreciated. It's quickly become my one of favorite synths, period. It can do sounds that are remarkably similar to my beloved Hertz Donut. I just need more rectifiers, an additional quantize and a pair of DSG/281/VCS style looping envelopes.
Urs, any thoughts on what kinds of additional modules we might see where the place holder currently resides?

So... Bazille 0.4 is a good news because we will be able to use it for another year...
BUT does this mean we won't be able to expect BM for 2011?
Can't wait no longer for ACE XL

Cause it is one of the very best sounding synths you can get, rather unique among softsynths, and is available for an extended period for free with no demo limitation. At the moment, best free synth ever!Nielzie wrote:How can it be under appreciated if it's not even finished and available for sale yetjustin3am wrote: Bazille is indeed under appreciated.

I don't know yet... I've added some workforce, so maybe things can go quicker in future!vinz89 wrote:So... Bazille 0.4 is a good news because we will be able to use it for another year...

Urs, can you explain why Bazille seems at this point lighter on cpu than ACE?

Dunno. Maybe the PD-Oscs need less cpu than the analogueish ones?Nielzie wrote:Urs, can you explain why Bazille seems at this point lighter on cpu than ACE?

By under appreciated, I mean not known about or used much. And that it has been free for a year. I think not many people are taking advantage of this incredible synth and the chance to use it for free.Nielzie wrote:So where is it under appreciated then?pdxindy wrote:Cause it is one of the very best sounding synths you can get, rather unique among softsynths, and is available for an extended period for free with no demo limitation.
