I don't own Zebra, but I do know that most people that have tried Camel
have now gone back to women.

I would love to know what, in very exact terms, two of the above three posters dislike about Zebra. Seeing that, in my mind, one of its greatest attributes is its sonic qualities, and that as musicians one of our principal interests is sound quality, I just don't know what there would be to actually dislike. I'm willing to omit Zebra's huge number of other attributes in this post just to hear what you guys don't like about it.

Heh... There are quite few people who have said they disliked Zebra and who 6 months or a year or more later were talking about how amazing it is.rockmachine wrote:I would love to know what, in very exact terms, two of the above three posters dislike about Zebra. Some people just don't really click with a particular synth. Not everyone is going to love every high quality synth.
The ones who say they hate it usually say that as a reaction to its popularity. You cannot possibly hate Zebra itself. It is a top quality and versatile synth, fair price, significant upgrades are free, has a responsive dev, generous licensing policy and no onerous copy protection.
Something besides pluck sounds

Yup, the sound just doesn't 'click' with me. It's hard to put my finger on it but it just doesn't sound appealing to me. There's this sort of quality that I don't like and I find it hard to fit into my mixes. Ace on the other hand sounds one of the best synths (if not the best) there is right now. You see, I don't have any bias, actually when I tried Ace I was skeptical since my dislike for Zebra but I was really dumbfounded and had to buy it immediately!!! It's strange since they're from the same developer

That's right! Zebra didn't really click with me when I first tried it either. Then a long time later I took some time to revisit it and I didn't understand why I didn't like it before.pdxindy wrote:You will eventually be assimilated!penguinfromdeep wrote:Yup, the sound just doesn't 'click' with me.
