Very dissapointed with the refx "sale". Every Christmas I have added a couple of expansions for Nexus. Now it looks like instead of the usual 20% off they are only 10 dollars off. I waited a long time for this sale too, uggh. :? :(

Bought an EMU sound pack and Dimension LE from Cakewalk and cannot download my products. Also getting a ran out of serial numbers when trying to retrieve my serial number. WTF! Cakewalk. They just took my money and that's that. No help and no communication on the matter from Cakewalk. Think twice about buying a download product from them.

FWIW, I don't think they have service on weekends. I recall getting my serials on next Monday when buying late Friday.

Hi,

I recently ordered the Tacktion 3 Project Bundle, then I noticed this:

Traction 3 Ultimate Bundle on sale for $19.99:
http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/pr ... sku=701815

Dose anyone have this and can confirm that the added synths and stuff are worth it? I'm expecially wondering about the Garritan Personal Orchestra T3 edition. Does it have a lot of string articulations?

Thanks in advance,
G

Just some info on the prices to upgrade the Tracktion bundled Linplug synths.

Cronox 3 - $45 or 29 Euro

RMIV - $89 or 69 Euro - this actually gets you the upgrade to RMV also.

Alpha 3 - $19 or 19 Euro

So, $153 to upgrade all three.

Thanks Alistair! So Garritan doesn't offer any upgrade discount?

Sorry, Linplug was the only one I could find info on quickly. I couldn't find anything on Garritan's site.

My GC order for the $89 red KRK Rokit 6 monitors was cancelled. :(
Anyone else have their order cancelled?

There's review on the musician's friend website that says Sampletank, GPO and DrumCore (via rewire) all work outside Tracktion. Not making any guarantees here but I went ahead and purchased the ultimate bundle as I still use xp and I do miss the modular environment of Tracktion 1 when I had it. I could definitely handle having to do orchestrations in Tracktion per the benefits of the extra plugins as is.

Plus, the upgrade price for both Alpha 3 and Cronox 3 is very good...

Thanks again! Mackie's site also seems mute on the subject. I'll probably just get it, since it's so darn cheap, and hope for the best.

Take care,

Awesome! I have Kontakt 4.1, so it would be great to have a good orchestral library to use in other hosts (I have Sonar 8.5 and Reaper). I also found a thread in the Mackie support forum that indicated that DrumCore will load and work in Vista/Windows 7 if you configure the setup executable compatibility mode to XP.

http://forums.mackie.com/scripts/forum/ ... 7;t=002832

So far, the demo has been working fine on my Windows7 x64 quad core PC, although I haven't really started digging in yet. Based on forum posts, there are issues with quad cores, but T3 can be set to only use two cores if needed.

I have to admit that I really like the T3 demo. It seems to be a great host and, even if it does crash sometimes it won't be a major deal for me since I don't do anything that's "mision critical" anyway. Heck, Sonar and Reaper crash on me too occasionally, usually because of a buggy or incompatible plug or some misconfiguration on my part.

Some weeks ago I used the GPO Tracktion serial to upgrade to full GPO4 for 49 Euros. Real bargain.
