It's a demo restriction, glad I'm not quite as insane as I thought I was

The demo has a restriction: It plays wrong notes after a while, rather than having a timeout or bursts of white noise.hibidy wrote:(my specs are x64/win7 and both reaper 3.73 and sonar x1)
I'm noticing that sometimes the wrong notes or wrong octave is playing back at times, this is especially noticeable with arps. However, even when trying to build my own sounds with apparently no arp on it will play strange notes.
Before I go into it more is there some reason this is happening (like a demo restriction or something?) Or maybe something that is wrong with the x86 version running in either bridge? I'm just getting my feet wet with this so not sure what I'm doing yet but I can pretty easily reproduce the issue.

Going to the wrong notes is much better than shutting off cause you can still save what you are working on and tweak it further if you are right in the middle of something... a graceful decay

Hey, that's a quite useful feature, actually! Does it follow some kind of pattern in its behaviour or is it completely unpredictable? (e.g. stays within 1-2 octaves range to the original notes or smth. like that)Sampleconstruct wrote:The demo has a restriction: It plays wrong notes after a while, rather than having a timeout or bursts of white noise.
Also does it alter note lengths?
Does it time out at all?
And can you save patches with the demo?
I hope I'm not asking too much questions....

It plays the notes C E B R A where R is a random note.jazztard wrote:Does it follow some kind of pattern in its behaviour or is it completely unpredictable?

When you hit notes it will play C E B R(andom) A in sequence. It doesn't time out, or change incoming midi in any other way. You can save patches in Demo mode.

Think I've found my method of composition...

Grakk! A top ten poster who hasn't been zebrified... A dark stripe on otherwise white fur. Suddenly, I feel terribly weak. (this is the scene where you can imagine Darth Vader passing out) *plock*

Well my friend, the competition is indeed stiff, but you'll be happy to know that I'm loving the demo.Urs wrote:Grakk! A top ten poster who hasn't been zebrified... I especially like the cool key signature changes

You can also load user presets with the demo.hibidy wrote: Well my friend, the competition is indeed stiff, but you'll be happy to know that I'm loving the demo.
You can get many here.

So whenever you hear a funky sounding zebralike synth anywhere with the melodic focus on CEB RRRR A you know it's made by somone who was too stingy or too broke to buy the full version but too morally integer to download a cracked torrent version.
