You dont think you are overthinking reverbs a bit dear ttoz? I totally agree with you on the spectrum thing, but I never agreed that Rl Reverb was all that metallic, like you've stated earlier. Now it suddenly is a good friend? First sign of schizofrenia (which indeed can be a good thing, look at Fripp). lolttoz wrote:But wait.. I am NOT dogging the products at all. It's just that reverbs are doing my head in
Cheers.

I don't know anything about Logic or a bug, but I do own Eos and can't, for the life of me, figure out the love affair this community has with it. This was billed as a wonder-verb, low cost AND low CPU. But it just sounds cheap to me. Very metallic, and impossible to rehabilitate.Nig wrote:Hey ttoz, was thinking to get Eos too lately. Any chance you could tell me what this Logic bug you speak of is, was considering this for the last few weeks too. Sorry to be going OT here, Cheers.ttoz wrote: ...but i sold eos ONLY because it has a horrible bug with logic...
Maybe I'm spoiled with Uhbiks and Ik's CSR, but I've even got a few free verbs that way outclass Eos. Sorry if I sound like a hater--I'm not--and, in fact, I really respect some of AD's other products. But like I said, I just don't see (hear?) what everyone else does with this one.

It is low cost, low CPU &.....CHEAP. It isn't the best Reverb out there but for the money its pretty good & very easy to use. I myself don't find it too Metallic sounding but I'm not using your earsBERFAB wrote:This was billed as a wonder-verb, low cost AND low CPU. But it just sounds cheap to me.
There are 1 or 2 Free Reverb plugins out there that are as good as if not better than EOS. One that comes to mind is Epicverb by Variety Of Sound. I tested Epicverb extensively against Breeze just in case I could maybe save a bit of money using a free verb for a while. And while Epicverb was very good indeed, Breeze had that something extra, fuller, richer Extra body to it (now I sound like I'm wine tasting)....you know what I mean.
I still think Eos is a great Reverb for someone on a very tight budget.

It is a very good reverb & its great that it comes with RP-Delay (which I have) The only 2 things that put me of buying it was that initially there was a problem running it on my system (snap crackle pop, supposed to be fixed now)ttoz wrote: I am a bit saddened that rp verb hardly gets talked about here, as it's very very good.
& I was looking for a Reverb that sounded great with a very user friendly UI. IMHO Breeze has all this in spades, it sounds brilliant & bish bash bosh...job done ("bish bash bosh...job done" I can't believe I just said that)

Ended up buying Breeze the other day and am very satisfied at what I heard so far. My go to reverb all along was Uhbik-A and that will still be used a lot but Breeze now gives me so many more possibilities. I would recommend it. Someday I do hope to get my hands on Aether but will just have to wait.
@ ttoz: thanks for that info on the Logic/Eos bug. AD's lack of demos meant I never tried their stuff so never got to hear it. Don't thing I'll be needing Eos now anyway after my purchase.

Any estimate on a 64bit AU for breeze (and Aether for that matter)?

3+ months most likely. Unlikely to happen before then. It requires pretty substantial work to recode the GUI using objective C etc...softska wrote:Any estimate on a 64bit AU for breeze (and Aether for that matter)?
...but we have been wanting to make our own custom GUI code, so this will give us a chance to do that at the same time, and have the option to be more creative the GUIs etc as well. (don't worry I won't use any pink/magenta
