I just got zZounds.com to price match AudioMIDI and will now be able to pay for the LXP bundle in 4 payments of $99.98...no interest. Plus I'm pretty sure that the zZounds version is the actual retail package (with free ground shipping) instead of the downloadable version.zqxwcevr wrote:audiomidi just put up the Lexicon LXP Native bundle for $399. Another chance to get it if you missed the recent promo.

Yeah I meant Guitar Center for that $100 off coupon. Sorry I get real lazy sometimes.
Oh and Buy.com has Komplete 6 (full version, brand new) for $270 after shipping. Not many left.

Just a heads-up.
Sound on Sound, which is easily the best magazine out there about computer music-making, lets you have free searchable access to all of their content that's more than about six months old.
I found out last night that they also have a free digital edition of their magazines, up to the newest editions, both British and US. Works pretty well actually, though you have to be prepared to scroll around and magnify a bit.

Unless I'm missing something the digital editions are only free if you already have a paid subscription, otherwise they're free to non subscribers after they're five months old. My subscription expired a few months ago and the newest one I can view is the Sept 2010 issue.GreyLion wrote: I found out last night that they also have a free digital edition of their magazines, up to the newest editions, both British and US. PMT in Salford, Manchester, have one remaining boxed copy of FM8 for £10, and a couple of JV1080 expansion boards for £25 each [session and orchestral, IIRC]. They may now have gone, but if you're in the are, might be worth calling round for.

clonewar -- Yeah, that's what I'd have thought, too, since, if you go to the SOS main page and select issues from the drop-down boxes, you have to have at least an eSub in order to read content newer than six months.clonewar wrote:Unless I'm missing something the digital editions are only free if you already have a paid subscription, otherwise they're free to non subscribers after they're five months old. But I've been reading a couple of issues of the digital edition that I linked to, and it's a different thing -- apparently a flash presentation of the whole mag scanned in at hi-res and linked, and haven't had any problems with limitations. I've loaded it up, navigated to the contents page, and am reading an article in the November issue as we speak.
No log-in, and my subscription expired a couple of years ago.
YMMV, of course.

The most recent one I can view is the Septembet 2010 one too, pretty bizarre...GreyLion wrote:clonewar wrote:Unless I'm missing something the digital editions are only free if you already have a paid subscription, otherwise they're free to non subscribers after they're five months old. If we wanna continue the SOS discussion we should scoot off to gossip, but just to say that for me without subs I can read the contents and a few odd stories, but most articles are the first couple of paragraphs only... don't think anything's changed? {polite request any replies to this in gossip please)
