I received my March 2004 Keyboard Mag in the mail today. While walking back to the apartment I noticed the review list on the cover includes Dash Signature daAlpha2K and EVE.

Pros: Affordable and good-sounding. MIDI-automatable. Simple and easy to learn.

Cons: Not a lot of features. Poor documentation. No Mac or DXi versions.

4 pages of publicity. Congrats.

That's great news! I just don't get "not a lot of features" - hummm, compared to what? Also, "poor documentation" - when, compared to what too?

And not to mention no MAC or DXI version!? What the heck, that's not a con, just for those who only got a MAC or have a PC and don't want to use VST-DXI adaptors.

Anyway, 4 pages is 4 pages!

Yes, the Cons were very lightweight, which is a big plus. From my experience as a subscriber that usually happens when there is nothing sagnificant, or if the product's only competition cost a lot more. It has a big picture of EVE. Only bad thing is no mention of the special pricing. It list the complete package as $299. Oh, and it mentions a ComboSiseter review at http://www.keyboardmag.com. I forgot to check that out.

Did someone scan these yet? I just got my copy today. Let me know if you need me to scan these.

For a Jim Aikin review, they were VERY favorable reviews.

And no offense, but the DashSig documentation is probably the weakest aspect of the whole package

yes they are not huge PDF manuals, or you mean the buggy english? <grin>

anyway manuals like the one for EMM Knagalis seem quite informative to me, don't they?

I think it's more the buggy english than anything else: but it's still infinitely better than mio Italiano

If you ever want someone who has some background in technical writing to go over your docs, just let me know.

I don't have Knagalis, so I'm unfamiliar with the docs, but after reading the keyboard review I'm regretting not taking advantage of the all-in-one bundle earlier (I have theAbsGit, Combosister, and daaHornet already).

Oh no, not the whole Eve manual bit again.

I fixed it first, then someone else did it, and it wasn't up to my level of satisfaction, but I gave up after that. No more manuals for me after all that, after spending a few hours doing it.
