Hi folks,

Once we get 2.5 out the door, we'll concentrate on enriching it with "expansion" banks. I'm hoping we'll have at least 5 expansion banks by the end of 2011, created by top notch designers.

It's important to know what genres are popular, so here we go: What music styles/genres should we concentrate on in the "expansion" banks?

Well I'm a tweaker, but sometimes expansion / patches are a good inspiration. So for me you could either focus on different genres, like Ambient, Trance or you rather focus on expansions for Bass or Pads.

Personally I like both in some way. Especially ambient'ish sounds, pads, effects or hybrids of both real and electronic instruments. Moving textures are also great.

Would love to see Xenos' Dubstep/DnB banks moved over to Synthmaster (or something similar

A good trance bank would be nice.

A good 'other' club bank (electro/fidget/house etc) bank.

When i start my bank for Synthmaster 2.5 it will contain lots of pads for sure but so far i have no exact idea when it will be done. Currently i'm working on a bank for PPg Wave 3.V and later a bank for Dune or another for the Blofeld maybe.
