Putting Effects into that little bottom bar where you usually do dynamics

Ok. so i've seen in some of the demos, (namely Kraft Groove) that use effects like Cutoff in that bottom bar where you usually do dynamics. I've looked all around on how to get Cutoff, or anything similar, into this bar so i can modify sequences. how do i get this to happen? I know i have to insert Cutoff or something else under "content" in the drop down when you click the box on the left. If someone could help me out i would really appreciate it.

First, change the target of your track/sequence from the Rack to the Instrument you want to automate. You can actually choose any occupied slot of that Rack to automate compressor, EQ, ...
Now open your sequence and click on the left side of the controller lane (the default 'All Notes' one). The list that comes up now contains the item 'Parameter', which shows all front panel items of your Instrument/Effect.
Select the one you want and draw you automation curve.

The procedure that Andreas outlined is detailed in a tutorial on Mulab Automation.
