hahaha... I actually don't have a hang over today... In a wise move we switched to bubbly after the first one... kept us more aware of the really bad directing in the movie we watched.bmrzycki wrote:Revenge of the Mai Tais!!!Urs wrote:It's a bug... fix will be available soon (after hangover season)

I updated to the latest and greatest... but I believe all of them now show two copies. Some show (64) and some show (x64) next to the names. They all appear to have the same time stamps.
Can I delete some of them or is this by design? This is in Studio One 1.6.2.

Urs re-named the .dlls in the newer betas from (64).dll to (x64).dll. Just delete the older *(64).dll files.lagavulin16 wrote:I updated to the latest and greatest... but I believe all of them now show two copies. Some show (64) and some show (x64) next to the names. Thanks, that seemed to take care of it. Though I noticed there weren't duplicates of Zebrify and the other Zebra related ones? Just one for the main Zebra.

They are all the same file, just with a different name, so keep replacing them with the same file.lagavulin16 wrote:Thanks, that seemed to take care of it. Though I noticed there weren't duplicates of Zebrify and the other Zebra related ones? Just one for the main Zebra.

I should just rename zebra2(x64).vst or whatever to zebrify(x64).vst? That doesn't sound right.Elektrobolt wrote:They are all the same file, just with a different name, so keep replacing them with the same file.lagavulin16 wrote:Thanks, that seemed to take care of it. On Macs the AU component contains all 3 plugins in one file format: Zebra2, Zebrify, Zrev. On the PC side each plugin requires a separate VST .dll file.So renaming Zebra2 (x64).dll will only get you 2 copies of Zebra2 in your VST folder.lagavulin16 wrote:I should just rename zebra2(x64).vst or whatever to zebrify(x64).vst? The latest betas don't have Zebrify .dll updates so I'd recommend just installing the latest released Zebra 2.5 and then updating the copies of Zebra2 (and maybe Zrev) with the beta versions.
I'm confident the final PC release of 2.5.next will have all three .dlls installed.

Uhm...
If you rename Zebra2.dll to Zebrify.dll it will in fact become Zebrify. Same if you rename Zebra2(x64).dll to Zebrify(x64).dll. The binaries are identical. They indeed query the plugin name to determine which structure to set up.
Future VST3 versions will be just like AU, all plugins in a single binary, no need to copy them.

I think I've found another problem with the latest beta. Arp presets with a step length of 1 seem to perform erratically.
Zebra Science -> 6 Lupins -> HS Discobot+
Factory -> 9 Clowns -> Viral 01 Arctis
If I play either of these presets legato/retrigger style the note doesn't change; whatever the first note was is the tone that repeats. If I play staccato (release the last note before striking the next) the tone then changes correctly to the next note. In the case of Arctis the sound dies out very quickly and no more sound occurs until the next staccato note.
(Windows 7 64-bit, latest Z2 beta 32-bit, Reaper 3.74)

Interesting! Those two have in common that they use a single-step arpeggio.bmrzycki wrote:Zebra Science -> 6 Lupins -> HS Discobot+

BTW: I've replaced the Beta with the latest release version, so I can't check right now...

Is there an "official" 64 bit release available now?? Or is Zebra 64 bit still beta?Howard wrote:Interesting! Those two have in common that they use a single-step arpeggio.bmrzycki wrote:Zebra Science -> 6 Lupins -> HS Discobot+

@Howard: Yep, my only speculation would be something changed when Urs updated the Swing and LFO drift problem. I need to install the release version one of these days to check if all my bugs disappear.
@opus_diaboli: There is no official 64-bit Zebra2 yet. It's still in beta and the latest release is located in the first post of this thread.
