Z2 select OSC Wave 1 when Wave mod stops?

Hi everyone.

I ran into an interesting problem today in Zebra and I haven't been able to come up with a solution. I have LFO2 modulating one of Sendy's waveforms (00_PUL_Quad Square Synchie) in OSC1. I have Wave set to 7.50 and Wave mode (LFO2) set to 8.50 to ensure all 16 slots are modulated. LFO2 is set to gate and the Phase mod set to 0. This always starts the attack of the sound out with the very thin pulse and widense as the LFO2 kicks in.

However, if I assign ModWhl to LFO2's Amp modulation and set the amount to max the default sound for the patch changes to a very reedy square. Only when I re-engage the modwheel to max does the sound come back with the thin attack.

I've realized this is attributed to the "start" of the wavetable is really 8.50 and not Wave 1. Even if I shift the waves over by 8 it still won't sound the same because Zebra is morphing waves 8 and 9 together to be the first wave.

So what I'd like to do is be able to select a wave slot when Wavemod is not engaged and as I use modwheel the modulation kicks in smoothly.

I hope I'm making sense. :) Here's the preset I've been playing with:

Ah! Figured it out. Use LFO2 in user mode, 2 steps, line wave mode. Then set up a unipolar Triangle wave.

Adjust Wave to 0.00 and LFO2 to 15.00 in OSC1. :)

I think that should read "and LFO2 to 15".

Anyway... I get a very strange result: With mod-wheel at maximum, it runs through one cycle of LFO2 just fine, then turns into a bubbling sound alternating with a static tone. I can't work it out - any ideas why?

if you have the latest beta, LFO's in user mode are not working correctly

As pdxindy said the LFO user modes and random modes are producing erract results in the latest beta.

@Howard, yes, I meant 15. :oops:
