Hello forum,
I have several, full midi drum tracks, Standard Kit (.mid files) that use the majority of the GM percussion set i.e.: Conga, Guiro, Agogo, Woodblock and so on, including Bass Drum, High hats, snare and whatnot.
I know how to route the midi drum tracks to get MDrummer's drum kits, I just can't get the other percussion instruments, other then just the drum kit to sound or sound properly.
Is there a map for MDrummer that follows the full GM specification, or (a request from the developer) can this be programmed with actual sounds into MDrummer?
Thank you,
GSPro

Hi GSPro,
this can be done using MIDI input filters. I assume you put your MIDI files in your host and route it to MDrummer on channel 10 (or different MIDI setting).
Then all you need to do is to configure the MIDI input filters you can find in Globals page (in the major update soon to be released it will be a little more hidden). Basically you define which MIDI key should be routed to which drum type. MDrummer uses GM specification, but the set of drums is a little bit different, so there are a few compromises, so maybe with your percussion it isn't matching.

As always Dev, very responsive and on top of things.
Looking forward to the update and thank you for the tip.

EDIT:
BTW, SonicSynth 2, from IK MUltimedia have recreated a full GM specification for the drums and it works, but each drum can't be adjusted to taste like you would in MDrummer.
