The M1's always had a cheesy sound to me. It's amazing what they squeezed into 4MB and ancient hardware. But workstations have moved on.

The piano, brass and strings from Prydz' Pjanoo are from the M1 software version as well.

One man's cheesy is another man's sweet nostalgia...........Analogs have moved on as well.............The M1 has become one of my favorite softsynths.......

Analog synths haven't changed much, the chips got smaller but the components are pretty much the same. Yeah, I couldn't get a Monotron to fit in my pocket back in the 70's but the filter design hasn't changed at all.

OTOH digital synths have been following Moore's law for 20 years, they're in a completely different class of capability now.

But they can't be beat for nostalgia value! I would never use the sounds but they're fun to listen to :)

I have them on my iMac and on my MacBook Pro, so two would be doable. I don't think that you are in violation of the license agreement as many people work with two computers.
I'm thinking this is not irrelevant to the question.
Just checked the license agreement, which you can dl on the left side of this page. Under "User Support"

Same here. I've found a place for the M1 in a lot of my filmic music, as well as the odd new-agey piece. :hihi: :hihi:

Might get the WaveStation next.. urgh.. too many synths! Must be a GAS attack. :help:
