Hi,

Ordered few days ago Effectrix (1.4.1) and WOW (1.2).
No problem with installation, standalone versions work fine.
Dlls are in the right VST folder.
However both VST Dlls are always blacklisted by my host (Cubase)
And i need to install them in their x86 version.

Config :
Win7 x64
Cubase 5.5 x86

I tried the followings to resolve my problem :
- Uninstall/reinstall, (as administrator)
- Start Cubase as administrator,
- Trash cubase preferences,
- Clean registry with sugar bytes entries
- Trash vst2xblacklist.xml,
- Load with SAVIHost (error occured)

I tried to install them on an WinXP machine
at work and they're loading succesfull with SAVIHost.
I do not tried to check if demo versions working.

Well, I don't know what to do now and can't find a solution anywhere
Anyone's got same kind of issues ?

Any help appreciated, thanks !

Hi,

Cause of your 32bit Cubase you have to install the 32bit versions.

Thanks for reply,

32bit versions are those I want to install.
All my installed plugins are 32 bits.

I don't want full 64bit daw for instance.

Will try more tests.
Maybe I missed something, any suggestions ?

First check whether you are running cubase in 32 or 64 bit.
Then make sure when installing Effectrix/WOW to choose the related version.

- Load with SAVIHost (error occured)
This indicates that you installed the 64 bit version of Effectrix/WOW.

Hi,

I'm aware of 32bit/64bit stuff.
In my first post, I specify my configuration :
Win7 64bit
Cubase 5 32bit

I know I must install 32 bit versions of my plugins to load them
properly in my host(Cubase 5 32bit) and that the case
with my other third part plugins already installed.

I'm 100% sure I tick the right version (32bit) during installation process.
or I made mistake 3 times :hihi:

Sorry for my poor english

Hi,

Problem solved !

In general, I use the same path for installing program and vst Dll.
That's the way It work for me for years.

In this case, vst Dll(32bit version) was copied first in the specified path,
and then the standalone version (executable + dll).

I think, the dll associated with the standalone version (maybe 64bit) overwriten the 32bit one. That's why, it was blacklisted.

Anyway, thanks for help, my new plugs Rocks !!
