TBU is the best electronic album I heard in the last decade. It is both amazing from a technical and composition perspective, and emotionally compelling as well.

I'll try the demo of isotope stutter on my days off , I'd of been happier paying $99.

and geez, like I'm pulling at my hair everytime I hear autotune now, can you imagine how many tunes now will start to feature the stutter? Yikes, makes me shudder.A.M. Gold wrote: As I said in an earlier post, this is a genre specific effect. There's a reason BT helped engineer this---he is one of the most responsible people for bringing the "stutter effect" into the mainstream. It's sort of his "auto-tune" effect, so to speak. And, like the auto-tune effect, you are either going to have a significant use for it or no use for it at all, which is entirely dependent on the material you are working on.
That said, I think this is an excellent tool for that specific type of effect.

TBH, I think stutter will remain firmly rooted in the kinds of electronic genres it's been in before, but it will be a bit easier to pull of with this plug-in.
Don't ask me why outa-tune went through the roof the way it did, though. One of life's little mysteries.

I had a play with it and had a lot of fun. The filters sound really good and of course it does more than stutter. I like the gesture system but HATE the preset manager. Is it just me or is the plug-in in-active when you navigate presets?
I don't think I'll end up buying, Lucifer2 will remain my tool of choice for this kind of thing.

Hi...sorry for this absurd question, but the demo didnt installed the manual properly on Mac.
Can anyone tell me how to set it up on Cubase?
I tried choosing it on midi output but i can only listen to the stutter fx and filters, not applied to the midi loop...
Where should i load the stutter? As a vst on a single fx channel? As a send? Insert, etc?
Thks a lot for your help!

Some guy named BT made it...cryophonik wrote:...but it is among the more expensive stutter effects so I don't think it's unreasonable for anybody to wonder what it offers that less expensive products don't.
Plus it's probably cooler than the other ones.
I'm trying it ASAP.

create a midi track
Configure the input of the MIDI track as your controller.
Configure the output of the MIDI track as "iZotope Stutter Edit - Midi In".

Stutter Edit is a really slick piece of work - I'm very impressed. Easy to use, great sound.
Re the comments about "will it be used more than a couple of times after the novelty wears off" ... I guess it depends on the type of music you're writing. For dance music producers, this is sonic heaven. It takes the "pain" out of creating breakdowns and it's looking like a great tool for live performance
Peace,
Andy.

downloaded this yesterday and it sounds good.
the note on/off way of working is a bit silly though. what if i want to record it over an existing midi track, wont that fudge up all my midi or am i missing the obvious?
(yes i know i can just record it down live but thats not always how i work)
