How does Mulab do more than one core now?

I realise that a lot of people want Mulab to be aware of multiple cores, but how does it handle them now? If I have 4 cores, does it only use one? Or will making it a multi threaded app just mean that the load is better distributed?

You have to wait till the M4 update, which will (so god willaudiobot202 wrote:I realise that a lot of people want Mulab to be aware of multiple cores, but how does it handle them now? Atm: no way, except using in parralel a rewire programm, which acts as a host as well like FL Studio or Orion...

MU.LAB 3 uses a single core for its audio processing.
It's indeed a high priority wish to make MU.LAB support all cores available for its audio processing.
Unfortunately it's techncially quite complex, and at this point i cannot make any promises yet about when it will be there but be sure i'll do my very best to implement it asap.
FYI, besides multi-core support, there are also other points where i'll try to optimize MU.LAB's audio processing so we all get more musical power out of the same machine.

And with the workaround I mentioned, it works quite well.

You're welcome.> DiGiT < wrote:for sure. and to tell you the truth, i hadnt thought of the possibility of rewiring another app to take advantage of multiple cores... good one!
