Filter Cutoff

Hi all,
I have a track I'm trying to record in Ableton Live, however part of it is a cresecendo that involves a filter cutoff on a synth. I've got it set up on the Receptor to be controlled by my keyboard's slider, however this data obviously doesn't get through to Ableton during recording (I'm using Receptor through Uniwire plugin).
So I either need to know if you can control a parameter on Receptor via Ableton, or need a basic filter cutoff plugin that I can install on the computer hosting Ableton (tried 2RuleFilter and couldn't get it right).
I want to keep as many VSTs off the computer as I can and use the Receptor to do all the work. The VST I'm using for the synth is Gladiator, which has it's own built in fiter cutoff. If you need any more information ask me, I'm crap at explaining things!

Can't you simply record the keyboard slider information into Ableton as you record. Are you inadvertently filtering midi cc's or something like that? If not, though I'm not familiar with Ableton, many DAW's allow you to draw controller info. You should be able to do that (with correct cc for Gladiator filter) and it should work the same as the keyboard directly into Receptor.
You might also want to make sure that you are routing cc's to the plugin on your Receptor (if the cc info is in the Ableton track correctly). There's a check box on the Receptor setup GUI for that (route midi cc's to plugin - I think?). Good luck -

No because to do that you need to assign a parameter in Ableton to the keyboard's slider. But the parameter isn't in Ableton, it's on the Receptor. I'm pretty sure it'll be easier to use a filter cutoff plugin on Ableton so if there's any suggestions?

Perhaps I'm just misunderstanding what your trying to achieve. While you are recording your track into Ableton the keyboard slider information should also be recorded by Ableton along with the notes etc. On playback that information should be transmitted back to Receptor just as it was recorded. Anyway, no suggestions on filters - sorry.
