In the sequence editor, you can draw/edit automations in the Graph Editor at the bottom. At the left side you can choose which parameter to automate.
MU.LAB will only list the parameters for that part's target module. In case you have targetted a rack, there won't be any parameters. If you want to automate a synth within a rack, make sure you have targetted the synth itself.
You can set a track's target module via right-click -> "Choose Target Module". Hope this helps.

You may also find sub-tracks useful if you want to leave the part targeting the rack: you can then use sub-parts to target the content of individual slots.

Yep, sub-tracks are handy stuffpljones wrote:You may also find sub-tracks useful if you want to leave the part targeting the rack: you can then use sub-parts to target the content of individual slots.
Here is a doc file that explains how to set a track towards a sub-target-module:

In the track header, Choose Target Module, click on the little icon to the right and select 'Rack 1 Mixer Strip'.billyo wrote:Thanks for tips, tho im unable to automate volume and pan can anyone help
Now when you open the controller pane for a Part, you will be able to select Parameters which are - Gain, Stereo Panning, Stereo Width and Mute.

You need to make a separate (sub)track, so that the notes still go to the synth, while your automation part goes to the mixer strip. It's all about targetting the right module. Think in connecting cables
Hope this helps.

billyo, glad you found the way to do it
I agree that at first some things might look a bit strange/confusing, and wherever appropriate MU.LAB will be further optimized and streamlined.
But also note that this way of doing things gives you a vast musical freedom!
